Yah that's true for the size unless it's a custom mattress that could roll up maybe and aluminum at the right thickness could be the better option for cost

Personally I'd Make it as close to the slates design but I know that can be a headache I love it but what about a pop up type that could lay in the bed and extend out into that design

You would need quite alot of plastic scrap to turn a profit and i belive the ceo said the panels with be a glass filled composite right so basically fiber glass plastic panels making them overall a worthless item to steal

I did ask about battery swapping and any recycling programs and put in a slogan for fun this is slates response

Was curious about the battery upgradeablility and they didn't out right say no and they are looking into the theft concerns so we will see i hope we could upgrade the battery later on imagine 5 years down slate get solid state batteries so instead of swapping truck you could just have them swap...

From what I seen in the comments it seemed like there was alot more people who didn't know about it but I'd also say it's closer to a good mix of new and car people not to many people out right denying they slate a spot but some of that to overall far more positives and good questions
