Since these are still preproduction vehicles that are presented in the Gjeebs video above, the only important takeaways from it are:
Chili's
Golf
Boobs
You've heard this before? "There's more than one way to skin a cat."
Bottom line: the floor jack is used as the spring compressor for reassembly in either scenario.
I chatted with "Stephen", who claimed to be the presenter in the Front Lamp Cover Installation Tutorial vid, and we briefly covered the quality of the production and content. I think they did an excellent job with that one and I'm looking forward to more to get released. Although, I doubt they...
The rear shocks at a minimum will need to be disconnected at one end, if not fully removed, during the process. The shocks, along with other components like the swaybar/endlinks and track bar, are likely the limiters from getting full droop. At full droop, there should be no compression force on...
I wasn’t trying to give a step by step instructional on the topic and only wanted to provide a simple overview. On the rear, with the vehicle off the ground and the chassis supported, a floor jack can be used to lift the beam and act as the spring compressor to aid with removal/installation of...
I'd think the front is a spacer that has 3 studs and nuts. The stock strut bolts to the spacer and the spacer bolts to the chassis. It's likely that wouldn't require a spring compressor. On the rear, I'm thinking it's a spring spacer in addition to an adaptor to effectively increase the length...
I'm planning to try out the Nokian Outpost APT (235/55R19 XL at ~29.2" dia), since they have 3PMSF and EV-approved designation. These will be my all-year solution for what I tend to get into during the different seasons.
It appears to me, in vids I've seen, that the foot area for back seat passengers is fully inside the cab when in the stock layout as a truck. It doesn't look to me like there's any considerable space to be tapped into under the surface of the bed.
I've only heard the folks from Slate state the lift (and lower) will be 2". If true, and this aftermarket kit is 1.5", then endusers have a more mild option at a minimum. And slightly less lift might be better for the axles, based on the rear suspension design.
I sent two separate messages on Wednesday and received two replies via email today; less than 48 hour turnaround.
The chat feature had almost a 90 minute wait at one point. Then last night I was able to almost immediately get into a back and forth with an agent.
