as much the Fathom as alot of features I like, id rather choose simplicity and a truck I know I could repair without needing a dealer while also having the customization where I can pick and choose every little thing I want in the slate

unfortunately they would need to add a motor to move the wheel on its own which will add more complexity to the steering rack and the ADAS computer, cant see it being in their books since they want to be the cheapest truck

I'd like to test drive to get a feel for it but not a deal breaker if I dont

when and where we can test drive one & how will the outside panels withstand theft or messing around with them since they designed to be removed by the owner with basic tools, I head they plan on doing something with the alarm system but I want to know for sure

I personally think I'd skip on Slate insurance since other brands use usage-based to some degree to give your rate. I’m not trying to have data-sharing so I can get a personalized rate unlesss there's an opt out for sharing and I can get a rate without them knowing how I drive.
