  1. Member Johnologue Video: The Slate Truck: EV Performance For All

Exceptional video. I loved, 1. The wry sense of humor and 2. The info on front-wheel drive and engine placement and weight distribution (and how weight distribution changes) when accelerating and braking. I've always preferred rear-wheel drive, now I know why. Thanks so much!
  2. Tall driver (6'10" person ) in Motortrend's Slate review

You're very kind. This so helpful...and hopeful.
  3. Cost to apply wraps in NJ

I assumed $500 for the wrap, $500 to have it installed by RepairPal, or at the factory before i take delivery. Voila! $1,000. But I'm sensing I assume too much.
  4. Used Slates market?

    I agree...it's important.
  5. Used Slates market?

    Thanks. That's me, 6'7"....I'm hopeful.
  6. Used Slates market?

Good question. If I may add a twist. What about buying it now and immediately putting it up for sale. What do you think you'd get for it that way? (I'm very tall and if I don't fit in it, I think about this option).
  7. Walkthrough of Slate accessories and other info (including state of the assembly line)

"Mostly plastic stickers"....cool quote. Will be re-using that one.
  8. Bench seating for front

    Good times!
  9. Q2 delivery estimate for last minute reservations & new orders.

Wow! Great comment. Didn't know I thought that way til you said that, so hear hear!
  10. Are you planning to pre-order without ever having sat in a Slate?

I see what you're saying. I've plunked down the $300. See it more just to hold my spot. If I end up not buying, okay having that money donated to the cause. About test driving, being 6'8" I really want to sit in the thing before buying, but I'm comforted knowing that 1. They'll give me...
  11. Test Drives: When and How?

Yeah i’m expecting a bit of a drive to get to drive one. I’m in the middle of Eastern North Carolina. That’s OK, I’m excited, a fun roadtrip.
  12. Test Drives: When and How?

    I think you’re exactly right.
  13. Test Drives: When and How?

Does anyone know when and how Slate will be orchestrating giving all we preorder folks a chance to drive the truck before we sign on the dotted line? I've been told there will be events across the country that we will be notified about, just look for the one nearest. Is that the latest info...
  14. Release Day! What pleasantly surprised you. What mildly disappointed you?

I agree. In awe of how much Slate is doing quickly and well. Will be proud to own one.
  15. Destination Charge

If I had to guess, I'd guess more towards the lower; the $1,200. That would be in-line with all the other pleasant surprises Slate has given us with things being lower than at least I expected.
