What you say is true for the best accuracy, but in my experience, agents can provide adequate costs for budgeting. Several times over the decades, I have asked my insurer for an estimate for a type of vehicle I was considering acquiring, so I would not have the VIN yet. When in the market for an...
I asked my insurance agent today what the insurance cost would be for my future Slate. Slate was listed as an insurable vehicle, but their insurance calculator did not yet have full safety ratings. Based on what my insurer has as of today, insurance is about 60% more than my 2003 Honda Element...
There is no reason to believe deliveries will be determined by the date the order was placed. From Slate's perspective, it will be far more useful to make deliveries by an algorithm that may include the popularity of electric vehicles in your area, existance of an authorized repair facility, the...
Hi,
I have a few questions regarding tires.
Are the standard tires run flat type?
I do not see a spot on the Pre-Order to specify spare tires?
Will a spare tire fit in the frunk?
If anyone knows, let me know.
Thank you
Download an app such as Simple radio. There are many to choose from. Not all, but most radio stations local, national, and international are accessible.
Generally EV's have lower lifetime owner cost over ICE vehicles. No engine or transmissions to wear out or need service, no catalytic converters, etc..
Slate has no obligation to deliver product by order date. It is in their interest to deliver product in areas with support infrastructure. Even I was was in the first 100 to order a Slate I doubt I will see mine early in production as I live in northern New Mexico.
My guess is that Slate will find that many buyers don't want to undertake initial DIY, and Slate will need to adjust their plans to send trucks with many customization features pre-installed. One thing to do one or two part installs. Another to undertake headlights, power windows, upgraded...
When I read this on the personalization page, I interpreted it as referring to all customizations. My error, it seems.
"Want the SUV kit, or a wrap? We’ll install them for you before we deliver your vehicle, for a little extra. "
I enjoy having an AM/FM radio, but it's legacy technology which needs to be retired. We are not going to replace electronic starters with hand cranks, power windows with roll-up (let's see how many trucks ships with roll-ups), or radial tires with bias-ply. The ship has sailed.
