  1. I've stopped defending the Slate

50+ years here too. The Slate fits me like it fits you. We've been there, done that. If they troll, I just say leave. No explaining, no defending. just leave. I don't need to add a bunch of jargon to the replies to the jerk. It's just a waste of time and post real-estate. Done. I've already...
  2. Color of a Naked Blank Slate?

Then, I'll be invisible too as it'll match my hair color.
  3. Seat sitting position relative to the ground, Help us old folks out !

Huh. finalize?? The dimensions of the truck are gonna change? Oh well. I guess they didn't have time to measure or look at CAD drawings. So, is right... Maybe, just maybe, someone sees your post who is going to a viewing can get a measurement.
  4. Seat sitting position relative to the ground, Help us old folks out !

Why don't you just write to Slate and ask them what you need to know.
  5. Poll: Does the release of Fathom price and info affect your Slate decision?

I'm just reinforcing why I choose Slate over the Fathom. Ford - I don't need an SUV with a truck bed attached and did someone say 4' bed? Right to repair. Customizable. No infotainment system. Just a basic truck like I used to own. Slate - stay true to your direction.
  6. Enlighten me on the Center Console

Yes, it is, but it's worth contacting your insurance Co to at least give them a heads up. My ins co was not aware of Slate. They at least got me something to plan with.
  7. Enlighten me on the Center Console

Just what I did. I remember adding additional audio equipment to cars way in the past. (too much way). It was fun and certainly had its rewards.
  8. Enlighten me on the Center Console

I hear ya. That's why I stuck with a very basic (I mean blank :)) build. I added a few accessories, ones that had no price went into Save for Later. Not interested in wraps. I wanted a guesstimated price, so in the meantime, I could go factor in the other outside costs: loan, registration/title...
  9. Seat sitting position relative to the ground, Help us old folks out !

Here is a link that shows the manual adjustment lever. It's on the side of the driver's seat. The horizontal lever is the adjusting lever. You pump up to raise and pump down to lower. It has essentially a rachet effect. There is a slight movement forward/back in addition to raising/lowering the...
  10. Enlighten me on the Center Console

Hopefully when all the accessory prices are added, the make will be updated. As they're telling us, preorder now, deal with accessories later.
  11. How does a Lender or Insurance carrier view the Slate?

Talk to your bank, ask them those questions. Their interest will be in recovering the value of the loan if you default. All I cared about at this point is how much can I put down to lower the loan payment based on my current selections at their interest rate. As was mentioned, if I add other...
  12. Items to enjoy/not fret over on Slate truck

Well Well, that answers that. Will there be an extra charge?
  13. Items to enjoy/not fret over on Slate truck

    Linen would be nice.
  14. Items to enjoy/not fret over on Slate truck

That begs the question then, will there be an additional freight charge. as all that has been told to us is the freight for the vehicle. I seriously doubt it though. My thinking as the truck comes off the line, the accessories are there ready to go. For all we know the pkgs may just be placed in...
