The only offerings that would make me look away from my Slate are:
1. Honda Element (Loved that car)Hybrid version. Needs more power than the original. Rumored release 2027 let the bugs get fixed 1st year so wouldn't buy until 2028 or later
2. Honda makes a truck on CRV frame with hybrid...
Wife keeps asking me what add ons I want for my Slate for my Birthday when it arrives. FWIW-If Slate or after market companies are active on forum might as well put gifts in one place so my list can come true. 1. Skeleton Doors for my Slate 2. Sliding back window. (A must for regular cab...
Its Ford, Its a dealership, It tracking and screens, Its stuff I don't need or want to pay. Ill keep my Slate order.
Remember this is the same company who yelled from the rooftops that the Maverick was the only under $20,000 new truck. That lasted all of 5 minutes before price increases and...
No problem for me. The most it will be driven at one time is 90 minutes at the most to get up into the mountains to backpack/mtn bike/trout fish. The rest is doing truck things around town.
Love the diverse demographics on this forum and all the questions on items people are worried about on the Slate. Take the following advice for what you want but some of the worries are meaningless and actually bring the fun back into having a vehicle and will bring laughter and good times...
im hoping that people like me who didnt put in reservation and ordered on first open date get a delivery date. Slate seems smart and should know patience is short in todays world and we will only wait so long for a delivery date.
I find that CarEdgelive is good in small doses. The message is just the same core message of the car market is in crisis mode, dealers suck but we know better. But what they don't tell you is they need all this doom and gloom to sell their paid for services to help you steer the doom and...
Makes a lot of sense. Slate seems to be a very savvy company playing the long game. Fleet sales goes straight to the competition in the Maverick. The water company, gas company and auto part companies in my neck of the woods have all bought into the Maverick. Their fleet is aging and will be...
Very impressed with the financial side of Slate along with the product side. CEO mentions in his video that feeds into youtubers etc that their breakeven point is 80,000 units per year currently. He mentioned the 180,000 reservations (Pretty safe to say real orders will be more than 80,000 in...
Nope. Im 6'3". The guy from TFL youtube is 6'2". The guy in charge of interior add ons is 6'5" and the video shows him in it. They are bigger boned than me and had room. Im good.
Plain truck with lift kit installed for me. Going to drive it around and see what options I really need since they are DIY. Hoping some aftermarket companies jump in and can have flexibility to order Slate or others. My son is already showing me ideas for is 3d printer.
