Your big flat screen TV at home is spying on you more than your car is. Why do you think the TV was so cheap? They're selling your data.
When people get paranoid that their devices are spying on them because "I was just talking about XYZ and then all of a sudden I'm getting ads for XYZ...
I like how they're dealing with accessories so far. I find most of them to be priced quite reasonably. Not like Harley accessories.
What's yet to be revealed is the logistics involved in getting them to us. If I have to go to their site, order, pay shipping, and wait a week for two guys in a...
Yeah, but who do they have in charge of accessories???
A guy from Harley Davidson. If ever there was a vehicle company that made lots of profits off of selling accessories, it's them.
If Ford can get the dealers to sell at MSRP and not their typical shenanigans, and give a really low, or 0% finance rate, it could end up being cheaper than a Slate.
Yeah, it's possible, but that's not typical. I'm sure the speakers from Slate aren't super high quality. Regardless, I'm planning on putting in an Android Auto head unit. As far as I know, all in-dash units are setup for wired speakers. We ran speaker wire in cars back in the old days, so I'm...
I know there's space behind the compartment to the left of the wheel, just unsure of it has a door or not (unused space). The one to the right of the wheel is probably where I'd want to put a head unit.
One thing I've noticed in videos is that the doors to the compartments seem pretty flimsy...
I'm assuming that I'll lose at least one glove compartment for a 2 din head unit. I don't think anyone knows if the left compartment is actually a compartment or not.
It would be nice to have speakers that didn't remove space from the glove compartment(s). I have door speakers in my current car, and although they aren't great, they aren't terrible either.
From what I gather, there is room for a double din head unit, but no mounting points for it. Someone is going to need to come up with a mounting bracket kit for those of us who actually would like Android Auto or CarPlay.
I'm wondering if there's any room behind the kick panels in front of...
It's easier than that. Ford can't stop dealers from adding a "market adjustment" and selling the things for whatever the dealer wants to sell them for. But they can limit the number of trucks the dealer gets. Add a $5000 surcharge? Yeah, we're having trouble getting you more of those.
Well, then they need to let someone off the leash and be willing to answer questions with actual answers. There's a whole lot of unknowns that are making me question the viability of the Slate and seriously consider the Fathom.
I'm concerned about their logistics. How do they plan to get the...
