Calling it a Jeff Bezos startup is not accurate. Jeff Bezos did not start it, but became an early investor. So he has a stake in the company but is not involved in its day-to-day operation.

Your designs don't need to be decided until your delivery window gets close, unless your designs (now with prices) are the deciding factor for moving forward.
I'm very curious how that's going to work, like how much the deposit will be and how much of it, if any, is refundable if you change your mind. A large or non-refundable deposit will definitely weed out a bunch of people that aren't ready to pull trigger.
I took it to mean the official parts distributor to Repair Pal shops, with the full set of Slate parts. I wonder if they are considering AutoZone for handling sales of all Slate parts, including add-ons, so Slate can focus on just the manufacturing.
I think I heard somewhere that the charging port was moved from its original location to the rear driver's side. I don't remember where I heard that though.
