  1. Air Bags & Slammed?

Understandable lol. It isn't for everyone for sure. On a related note, I'd love to see someone try to get the wheels off that truck with it on the ground lol. It laid the pinch weld on the ground as well as both bumpers lol.
  2. Air Bags & Slammed?

There are no springs in a bag setup, the bags are the spring. I was just giving you a comparison to something you might be more familiar with. At the end of the day, bagged stuff generally rides well and bags using factory geometry tend to ride better than modified geometry unless its well...
  3. Air Bags & Slammed?

Bagged cars ride really well if setup properly. The key is shocks that are setup to work in the right range and limiting bag PSI at ride height. Its actually interesting, they ride "better" the lower they are at ride height due to there being less PSI in the bags lol. You can think about it...
  4. 1 pedal drive question.

Yea, its all speculation for sure but its interesting to hear others thoughts on it. I do agree that it would make sense for it to tap the brakes if needed. If it does do that, I hope its a pretty large window before it does. Would be a real downer if a minimal decline caused the brakes to...
  5. 1 pedal drive question.

I just assumed it would turn it into heat I guess but that's a fair point. It will be curious to see how slate handles it. EVs are a whole different ball game than the ICE stuff I am familiar with for sure.
  6. 1 pedal drive question.

Are those ACC setups? Maybe that's the difference? In my experience, when ICE cars slow down during cruise they just stop giving it throttle, not apply brakes. I did a quick look at it appears that some manufactures are using the brakes though. Learn something new every day lol. That's...
  7. 1 pedal drive question.

Why is that? It isn't any different than an ICE car that doesn't apply the brakes automatically during cruise control?
  8. 1 pedal drive question.

Yea, I'm not super familiar with how aggressively regen can slow the car but based on my experience with smaller motors doing similar things, this wouldn't surprise me.
  9. 1 pedal drive question.

I highly doubt it will apply the actual brakes to maintain speed downhill. I know the cars I have owned and driven don't do that but it could be the case I guess?
  10. Will you need a test drive before you purchase a Slate?

O this is going to be HEAPS larger inside and more comfortable that those VW trucks. I just sold one last summer and as a tall guy, it was a struggle aka had a removable steering wheel to get in and out. This is going to be a LOT closer in fit to a modern CUV. That said, I agree that I need...
  11. Will you need a test drive before you purchase a Slate?

I had a similar conversation with my wife but her point was basically its $300. If you decide to cancel because of the test drive or whatever, just spend $300 less on the next car. Pretty easy call when framed it up like that.
  12. 1 pedal drive question.

1 of my cars doesn't even have CC lol. I am cool with plain ol CC.
  13. Lift Kit on the Slate - questions

This is where I am at and where I am torn. I want to get the factory lowering kit assuming its a real drop but at the same time, I could save that cash and buy a set of lowering spring from eibach or the like and get more drop lol
  14. Air Bags & Slammed?

No one has annouced a bag setup for this truck yet but it will happen quick after they are released. Its a simple macpherson on the front and basically a bag on axle in the rear. The rear is no doubt some simple brackets with bags that exist, my hope is that the fronts are a pretty standard...
  15. 1 pedal drive question.

I didn't really think of this with the regen but I doubt it will actually apply the brakes. The adaptive cruise will in a downhill situation will probably just crank the regen to keep the speed unless there is more gravity than regen at which point it would gain speed like a gas car I think.
