I know it sucks to be stuck in limbo, but I'm betting that once the early Pre-Order window closes you and some people who have a window, might see the dates shift a bit forward. Especially if you checked the "get my slate earlier/fast/gimmie!" box. My thought is if you checked that box, they may...
I'm hoping that they will confirm that any accessories will be shipped with the truck or possibly installed (depending on price) when you take delivery. Either way I just want that SWEET folding tonneau cover, center console, and the speaker mount.
Alright I lied! I also want the pickup roof...
I'm starting to wonder if everyone's delivery window will shift forward after the pre-order period ends. I think the windows we have now is Slate giving a prediction based off how the assembly line/final production vehicle is shaping up.
Install costs should be just the labor rate of the shop performing the installation, so that could vary shop to shop. As for having it pre installed, last I heard all of that is not being done at the factory. It'll be done by a repair pal shop and maybe if you're lucky it'll be cheaper?
I 've been at 80 in a Smart two door and felt a terror I've never experienced before. Maybe that one was in need of a few repairs, or maybe that's just how it is.
Wiring in a basic trailer harness isn't rocket science and should be something pretty easily managed depending on how Slate decides to route the signal wires you need to get to.
But I'd still rather have a factory option. That way you just unplug a connector or two, insert the trailer wiring, done!
Possibly? I thought about it because it sounds like a fun way to get acquainted with a new vehicle. But seeing as I've never owned an EV and only driven my sister in law's twice, I'm thinking I should just have it delivered...
