Running boards - mileage penalty & other considerations?

Actually...looking closer. Same model...different tractor. Looks like the original is missing the left-side step...

Running boards - mileage penalty & other considerations?

I think the rear tire is hiding the step. ;-)

Will you need a test drive before you purchase a Slate?

While it's always nice to have a test-drive...I agree wholeheartedly with stEVe (maybe because I (also) am Steve?) ;-)

Yeah...I got the chore thing as well. While I don't miss the farm "work" (brutal at times)...I'm glad my sisters had the opportunity to be a bit more "privileged". ;-)

Frunk Dimensions Measurements, Stereo & Speakers Quality (Sound Video), Impressions & Photos from Slate Huntington Beach Event on August 1

I grew up Mennonite (of course...there is quite a wide spectrum of the ilk). Modesty is a thing with many...not sure about the "until they get married" addendum. ;-)

Frunk Dimensions Measurements, Stereo & Speakers Quality (Sound Video), Impressions & Photos from Slate Huntington Beach Event on August 1

Lived in Ketchikan, AK (hiking guide) for a while. We swam the beaches there regularly. Was a great way to fill the evening pot with fresh mussels. Yes...shrivelage is a thing. ;-)

Poll: Does the release of Fathom price and info affect your Slate decision?

Answer to Poll Question: I can't fathom why it would?

Dear Slate, please add the white grill to configurator

I like the look of the white grill. (possible mid-west problem here?) Bugs. I'd rather "not see 'em than have to clean 'em. ;-)

Running boards - mileage penalty & other considerations?

Oh...back to the topic (running boards). I do think they make the Slate look better. If what y'all mention (above) is true, then they shouldn't cut down on mileage in a huge way. Just might add them back to my Blank...

Running boards - mileage penalty & other considerations?

Come on now...leaving home in '89 doesn't mean dirty laundry didn't show up there over the next (x) years...you gotta visit mom. I left home in '85 and got home sporadically over the next (x) years. Still remembered to have all my dirty laundry ready. ;-)

"Things we'd like to see offered over time"...that's the "thread" no? Sorry...guess I wasted your time...

This is a possible way for some Self Driving capabilities for Slate

I don't like being in the passenger seat when someone else is driving...why the hell would I want an AI to drive me around?

These Drivers Are Taking Extreme Measures to Avoid New Car Technology (WSJ)

I'm with you. I might have a couple (maybe 10) more years of "safely driving (who knows when the abilities will fail). If my abilities fail? I'll be riding my bicycle. I don't trust a vehicle I don't have (at least) some control over. I like what Musk (Boring Company...interesting vid below) is...

4-Door Slate model plans confirmed - "We package protected for 4 doors"

Seriously. The SUV/etc possibilities are fine (bad enough). We need a small pickup that just does it's job. We don't need more SUV's/etc. There are plenty out there. My wish is for Slate to perfect the small pickup (bring it back). If they do that...and do it well? It will sell. Plenty of...

4-Door Slate model plans confirmed - "We package protected for 4 doors"

Huh...cool. With those extra 2.5-3"? Next stage could give us a small 2 dr pickup with a 6+' bed (screw the extra doors...you don't really need them). ;-)
