The TPMS radio signal is a data point to get associated with license plate readers. I can conceive of countermeasures for most traceable signals except TPMS. Nothing to do about the license plate readers unless you’ve got one of those James Bond Aston Martins. But, the less data I just give...
I hope Slate uses the indirect TPMS/FTM which don’t have radio. Even if there is no infotainment console in the Slate, TPMS with radios are a horrible privacy leak for surveillance systems like SignalTrace. And I can hook up aux connection to my speaker to negate Bluetooth broadcasts, but there...
Honestly, the power is not far off from where entry-to-mid EV’s might come in. This is not a performance line and 20 hp shouldn’t make a world of difference
Our EX30 always senses our bluey and shepherd on the backseat during drives. So we have to buckle seatbelts to get it to stop yelling at us from the console.
Reminds me of a World’s Dumbest Criminals episode, where a drunk guy got caught fornicating with his 90’s Bronco in a parking lot. The part that made me laugh was that he rubbed his butt on it afterwards 🤣
Congratulations! My (exhausted) brother loves his kids (also has a 2-seater Ranger, interestingly). My partner and I decided not to have kids in part because society beats you over the head with expectations and unfunded mandates when it comes to kids. My family, my choice. So screw it...
It makes sense if they limit the power of the 150kw motor down to 135 for the standard range battery, especially if they are trying to offset a heavier LFP battery in the base range model.
Personally, this is going to be a base range truck for me upon purchase, but I expect to later purchase...
Haha. Enthusiasts easily get defensive. Yeah, need more charge stations for sure. Especially if makers are going to sell small-battery utility trucks like Slate. My likely Slate will not be my road-tripper.
If you do make some Slate assets for Beam.NG, I would be super appreciative if you shared them. I play it with my nephew and would love to use it to demo a Slate with him.
Had a pipe leak in May. Caught it within an hour, but still had to pull the carpet and replace the pad and drywall. Made me decide to get a home warranty. I’m done self-insuring my 75-year old house.
I think the smaller overhead buffer size of an LFP could allow some extra headroom for cold weather range loss. We’ll see. I know LFP was an interest of mine with Ford and Telo.
