How much day-to-day technology is enough?

I expect to add my own cellular internet and hope to connect either wifi or maybe wired as well. This would be for my own stuff and not something truck is dependent on.

So many posts about, will you still buy without EV credit [WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Willing to admit it or not, everyone on this forum benefits either directly or indirectly from fossil fuel subsidies. Of course people don’t have to be honest about it, but they should at least try to be honest with themselves. Would there be a broad based benefit to EV subsidies? Maybe, but...

Place Your Bets! (actual blank Slate starting price contest)

As do I 🤞but see it as hard. My 3.8kw LifePo batteries were over $3k each. But if you’r right I’ likely spring for a few more accessorie.

So many posts about, will you still buy without EV credit [WARNING: NO POLITICS]

I have really enjoyed reading much of your tech oriented posts, but geesh, this political rant is getting tiring. Please stop. It doesn’t bring out the best in us. Personally, I’d have no problem cancelling ALL subsidies, especially the people ones. Let’s all focus on the Slate, its capabilities...

Already have a crude topper design started if it comes to that. Must have for the dogs. No topper, no Slate. Depending on Slate price will finish if I need to compare.

I guessing there maybe some scrambling how to overcome loss of the EV credit.

I think (hope) that is a reasonable expectation as it would make my seatless topper less.

Very true but alluding to the SUV at the Blank Slate price… and at this point no one knows actual SUV Slate price.

Yes, silly me. When looking to replace wife’s 3 seat SUV, only looked at other 3 seat SUV’s. When looking to replace my truck, only looked at other trucks. Dang, after my divorce, I only dated women. When my Boxer girl Kalani passed, only looked at other Boxers. Must be getting old.

What am I missing? Comparables? I don’t see them. Marverick is not EV, other EV’s not a pickup. Already have a hybrid truck. Other EV pickups totally another budget. Telo? Even at $42k I don’t expect to see it available, especial in same timeframe. Even same price as Slate, it’s ugly. Set my...

Did the "big bill" just end EV Tax Credits for Slates? [WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Well, perhaps because whether directly or indirectly, fossil fuels subsidies affect everyone, acknowledged or not, even you.

Did the "big bill" just end EV Tax Credits for Slates? [WARNING: NO POLITICS]

not being political, but I disagree. price of the truck should be price of the truck, just like any item. Here we are discussing who is paying for it. Manufacturers should be setting fair market value, not base on arbitrary incentives. i could have bought one of the current EV trucks last year...

Oh we are. Just for some it’s important someone else is helping pay for it.

Did the "big bill" just end EV Tax Credits for Slates? [WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Correct me if wrong, but I don’t recall going from incandescent to LED. I believe there was a step in between, CFL. I just installed some new LED fixtures and they sure aren’t was what available when incandescents were banned. There was also a secondary benefit to incandescents, but likely not...
