Zipn, would appreciate link to your battery configuration. Coulda sworn I saw one but hadnāt relocated.
But I agree the marginal cost should be minimal.
I also remember a 6/9 one, but it wasnāt a Slate, another make, and just a depiction not actual.
I would think something of the honor system. Yes owner responsible to update insurance company, but fine print may come into pkay and deny claim should they donāt. Could imagine insurance company requiring pictures if seat removed and owner claiming just a truck.
Agree, let Slate focus resources on truck stuff. These things others clamber about, radios, speakers, etc are readily available and probably cheaper off the shelf and you buy what you want.
Yes, the Pouch, just couldnāt recall proper name.
in same inability to recall, Iām sure I recently saw (In a video?) the Slate battery, exposed from underside with 3 Pouches installed and 2 vacant slots.
i would expect the bus contact to be somewhat spring tensioned which would initially hold in...
Really donāt know what to say about their marketing. Got my new Tundra in Nov24, wife got Ascent 12/24, so not looking. But Iām a day 2 reservation! Somehow they got to me, but donāt remember how, but super excited and waiting impatiently.
Thatās my hope. slate has a Long Beach location so might make sense to have a delivery location in area.
i shipped vehicles from GA to Hilo 20 years ago, prices definitely have risen.
2 years ago I shipped our son a Crosstrek from Hilo to No VA and that was about $2400.
Battery upgrade or upgradeable battery.
I have assumed and likely others have, the Slate will offer upgrade from Standard to Extended, but no details on the how other than initial order.
I think more attractive maybe 1 battery, but upgradeable. All in keeping with known Slate philosophies of...
LOL, I guess for me old habits die hard. that and I do log performance in a spreadsheet. My walk out to the system also involves my dogs going with me as I keep a container of their treats on the bench. Should my wife survive me I have no doubt she will be like the 4 widows in our neighborhood...
I wasnāt aware a Tesla battery could directly power a Lever 2 charger. When I had version 2 Tesla batteries reserved they still required an inverter. thank you.
my bad apperantly, Sorry
your previous
āNow, this is where the EV space gets a bit sketchy, there are a few pieces out there for 400v battery, but not many (and extra $$ as you would expect)
But they do exist, this is the "magic bit" that Apera have figured out. So? hook that up between the...
Would like to expand from another thread - Aptera-style solar panels in SUV option.
I will get back to that relevance later.
I have inferred that perhaps my knowledge/experience with home solar electric may be deficient. Perhaps info below will reassure and maybe even prevent someone posting...
????
and how does charging a 36vdc golf cart relate to charging a 400 vdc Slate or Aptera. As you state, you have a charge controller. I fully expect that is what the Aptera black box is and still unidentified. Also the part I suspect Iām looking for.
Please identify this mysterious Black box...
Not sure what you are disagreeing about. Still saying you charge your EV directly from battery, no inverter? donāt think so.
Been totally off grid 20 years. 12, 24, 48 volt systems, on my 2nd 48 system, maybe detail later. 18.4 Kw PV, 57 Kw LiFePO, 16 kw inverters for now. Not a hobby, but my...
