Article: Ram CEO: Slate Vehicles Won't Be So Cheap Once Buyers Get Done Optioning Them Up

Okay, the title of this article is somehow hilarious to me. I don't know why.

    Tailgate party, anyone?

đź’Ż I was just thinking about this today and on my way home from work. Never had a truck either and with the edition of the frunk, it could add such another layer to tailgating. I'd also love to see a custom canopy.

This might be a Drag on Slates success.

Ooff yeah, this is going to be stiff competition for the Slate if/when this truck reaches the US market.

Did anyone else get a phone call from Slate today?

Nope, but even if they did my phone automatically ignores unknown numbers so I definitely wouldn’t answer. :CWL:

Will you be installing a Level 2 charger?

No Vehicle to Load or Outlets in Bed/Frunk

I hear good things about Jackery too, though I don't know if that particular brand would fit the use case you're looking for. Never used them before myself, and don't know how they compare to other brands though.

Oh yikes! That's very good to know then. I'm nowhere near that kind of mileage on mine right now but I think I'm already outgrowing the size of the 2-door.

Interesting video from Mobile Mama for Slate.

I'd love to see that SUV topper part come off and see what that looks like. From what I can tell, it looks like it pops off but keeps the roll bars on? I couldn't help but notice too that the windows in the back for the SUV thing also has the quick latch releases, which I think is really nice...

Your reservation gets you a Slate test drive in 2026!

From my very limited understanding of the situation, is that the Chief Quality Officer got appointed to the CEO position & people are moaning and complaining that due to the current track record of the quality of Jeep products, some don't have high hopes for the new CEO.

You're not wrong there & the news I've been seeing with the new CEO and everything - it has the Jeep people up in arms.

    Slatelets - opinions?

I personally would love to see what sort of designs will come out in the OEM market, especially coming from a Jeep, I think I'd personally would love to have Slatelets. Gimme my little trinkets that make me smile every day, please and thank you.

Boy, it's been very hard to hold out on a Slate as I've been eyeing a Jeep Gladiator as of late. Here's hoping the test drives turn out to be great! :fingerscrossed:

Issue loging in to Slate account.

Can't say that I have had that issue, but I used my gmail account when I signed up/reserved it. I personally don't use outlook, maybe it's just an outlook thing? Glad you seemingly got it resolved though.

What are your personal MUST HAVE Add-Ons/Accessories for your Slate?

All I’d really love is heated seats and decent lumbar support, haven’t had it in any of my cars before.
