Article: Slate trucks will cost less than an average used car, even without tax credits

Still the same price as the launch, no misleading or moving the goal post if you and your buddy were going to buy a pizza for $20 and then your buddy decided not to give you $10 do you blame Papa John that you had to pay $20? How about $0 down 0% interest?

That’s how I think it is also, so $10,000 in interest might save you $2k

How about $0 down 0% interest?

Probably correct, Slate will likely be in a position that they need every $$ coming in so as stated by Letas they will likely use 3rd party allowing them to get paid day1 I guess we will see, I’m hoping to have 1/2 down anyhow

How does the Slate turn on?

So interesting thought, if I lost my key what’s the process for replacing it? service center only? Can I do it with an account ID through a tethered phone to reprogram? Is it like my Harley where I enter a code into the dash and it will start and drive? I know these are unanswered, probably...

Slate’s BYO Infotainment and the possible issue of Temperatures.

my thoughts exactly, low in the interior, out of direct sunlight either that or in a center console but for 99% of my driving it would just be my phone and that goes with me road trips to where I haven't been before if I did any would be a tablet on the dash, but removed if parked

yes its likely they could charge a convenience fee for this, but knowledge can be invaluable how many messed up wraps would it take to justify a $200 - $500 convenience fee a Slate employee guiding you through the process of installing your accessories, learning about EV's and a guided process...

Slate’s BYO Infotainment and the possible issue of Temperatures.

Well with over 70 already produced I’m sure there has been some real world testing and will continue to be real world tested. over the next 15 months they will likely have some of those 70 produced get some miles on them in many different environments

Expected price now "Mid-Twenties" for Slate truck

Unless their battery supplier has alternatives then Slate will probably be locked in for the first production run since they already have a suppler locked down

Expected price now "Mid-Twenties" for Slate truck

This is why it likely WILL NOT be $30k they know their timeline, they likely have an estimate of what they expect costs to be in 2026-27

Video: Bring a bag, any bag

They could sell it like the old jeeps, in a big box, a lot of assembly required LOL high voltage everything all hooked up, and the buyer assembles the rest they could even leave out that one bolt that’s alway missing on an assemble yourself project

Video: Bring a bag, any bag

im sure that they have been thinking about that for a while, its been a high probability since before Slate announced probably a big reason for simplifying production (less parts to put together), multi position parts (armrests)

Aftermarket for Slate - will there be a lot of parts / accessories?

This has come up a lot, Aftermarket will make accessories do we really think a lot of companies will make aftermarket accessories for these? my thought is the first couple of years NO, if the first couple of years they only produce 150,000 per year there are only a few accessories that would...

Received my gift in mail from Slate Auto - concept sketch

I received a slate sticker when I ordered merch, came with it that being said the sticker sits in a pile on my counter, the rendering is going in a frame, when I get my slate my plan is to park in a similar orientation and take a picture (probably with an iPhone 19) and put that in a frame next...
