Haha, nah I'm thinking the optimal wheel size might be a size that's not on the configurator.
IMHO a performance tire needs some sidewall. At some point shorter isn't better. As a point of reference, a NASCAR tire has 12" of tread and a 5" sidewall (365/35R18, calculates to 28.1"x14.4"). Until...
Could dropping tire size slightly to 235/65R17 help liven things up a bit?
Lower unsprung mass (three pounds?)
Less rotating mass (and the weight's not as far from the hub)
Some gearing effect (1.7 percent smaller circumference)
Shorter sidewall (0.3 inches)
A Bonus Feature would be some extra...
A lowering kit, some high-zoot Koni shocks, and some Michelin Pilot Sport or Pirelli P Zero tires might make Slate handle like a boss, who knows?
Low center of gravity and balanced front-to-rear weight distribution will help.
In Arizona Alternative Fuel Vehicles have a special license plate the conveys a special privilege: ability to drive solo in the HOV lane.
Apparently that''s about to expire.
A provision of federal code [23 USC 166(b)(4)] currently allows alternative fuel vehicles, including electric vehicles...
"It's more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow."
Without a doubt someone out there will figure out how to make a Sleeper Slate one way or another.
Comparing a 2027 Slate price with a 2025 [other vehicle] price doesn't make sense.
We don't know what 2027 [other vehicles'] prices will be.
Presuming they'll be the same as this year's offerings is kind of a stretch, isn't it?
Who know there was a searchable Unicode Explorer?!
Behold my shocked Fox Face:

Last vehicle (trailer, but still..) I registered in AZ, the DMV -- ADOT here -- printed my title along with a Temporary Plate on plastic-y paper at the ADOT office. They mailed the metal license plate to me shortly...

FWIW, in a video Eric Kyper calls that the partition.
In another video the removable part with a window that's above the partition is referred to as the halo.
Photos of a demo Slate with 245/75R17 tires and a 2" lift are in this thread.
Repeating what I wrote there:
That's a 49-pound tire. It's probably ~15 lbs heavier than the stock tire. It's also 2" taller. Gotta wonder how much that affects acceleration, braking, and range.
D'oh! You're right! Thanks for the correction.
Definitely lifted. There's 1" of extra space above the top of the tire that has a 1" larger radius. Visually that's a great tire size, however...
