Video of situation sent to administrator. Had to figure out how to add screenshot video to the control center of my iPhone 13. I had assumed it was just me, as I grew up with phones that have a dial on them.
It’s fun seeing what’s being said about the Slate. I appreciate that @AZFox and others are scouring the internet for tidbits so I don’t have to. That’s actually what drew me to this forum.
Edit: added “and others” Props
Good point. We cannot rely on others to take the lead but we can control what we do as individuals. I would gladly swap with other Slate owners who don’t feel that they have to have new parts. This forum could serve as a launching pad for such an endeavor.
There’s a pass through hatch on the front bulkhead if you need to carry some longer 2x4’s in the bed. I plan to cut some boards to fit it the side channels to allow for plywood to fit above the wheel wells. With straps of course.
I was hoping to never buy a new vehicle again. My 2 vehicles are going strong, and I don’t want a car payment.
My 2008 Prius has 135K miles on it and it’s the only new vehicle I’ve ever bought. I’ve been over precautious on the maintenance figuring I’d demand my money back if it doesn’t reach...
I made it all the way through! Good rant! Have you considered running for Congress @Swinefuzz?
The off-centeredness of the potential DIN location bothers me too and I made some comments at the Slate event at the Space Needle as I was talking my tape measure to the dash.
I assume all chats are...
I took some photos of the blue and white one in Seattle. I think they added the roof spoiler sometime before they put it on display.
Here’s a closeup of the hinge that also shows the roof spoiler installed:
And you can see that the tailgate spoiler is a little different shape and installed...
I thought the same. Looks like the same configuration.
At the Needle, I noted there was no front license plate mount. I asked the Slate rep if I just needed to drill some holes and he said I could either do that or join the movement mounting in California to just not put a plate on the front...
Both. There is a 12V battery under the frunk cover on the passenger side and a few inches from that is a 12V cigarette lighter style outlet. The Slate rep would not let me look inside the fuse box which was also near by. There is also a 12V cigarette lighter in the dash between the center and RH...
