Craziest I was thinking since the rear window is moveable like if you got the SUV kit, I'd pop off the whole thing and replace the rear glass with a sliding rear window. Especially on a single cab 2-seater, having that middle window open adds some nice breeze. Also putting the third brake...
Welcome! I see you also note having a GMC Syclone, that's such an amazing truck! do you still have it? Wonder if some motorheads(ev though) will try crank up the power on the Slate to get that 0-60 down to Syclone times.

I installed power windows on my Ranger but have been pondering going back, I can reach the other side fairly easy, and even have the sliding rear window for more breeze, but also have AC anyways so really don't need to lower the passenger window much.
Random Friday fun poll, how old were you when you got your first car with power windows?
For me I was about 32, and it was my 5th personal car. And all but my Ranger after that have had power windows. Also random it was a PT cruiser and the power window buttons were on the dash between the...
When they had an event here we went, and to see it in person is very different from the stats on the screen. To see it in it's physical form, and it's presence, and the version we saw was just a Slate Gray with the open top kit, and it'll be around $25k. When I told my wife the price they were...
Even with the rear seats it's still a fairly small cabin so the front vents will probably be enough to cool it all down, maybe that's why they keep showing off the open top rear option though :D
They didn't say $27k but before the incentive was ended they were saying under $20k *with incentives on the web site. So I'm just hedging $500 out of that and saying $27k, maybe they were gonna sell it for $17,500 with incentives so $25k to start, but I still think around $27k was probably what...
So going off the original price was to be $27k, and the rumblings of them possibly getting LFP for the standard battery, which can be about 25% cheaper than NMC, I'll say $24k for standard, $29,995 for extended.
I feel like even though they are saying mid-20s, they really want to try and get as...
I feel like the main issue with the Cybertruck is Elon, and those terrible panels.
From a platform perspective, it's a more efficient form than like the F150 lightning, it's 10 inches shorter than a Lightning, with half foot more bed space, but still 5 passenger seating, still a little frunk...
That's good to hear, I was looking at just adding heated pads or heated cover if they didn't offer it. And as others have said the 12v is plenty for a seat heater, that's the great thing about them, saves on range on mildly cold days vs running the hvac element heater with a fairly low draw...
I sit corrected, but will say the 12v systems can't draw beyond what the DC/DC inverter can output, plus a little from the 12V battery as a buffer, and as others have said in the grand scheme of kWh the truck has available that's a fairly low draw.
As a fer instance, the battery refresh...
There's the frunk, front truck under the hood. I think we determined that there's not much space where the backseat footwell would be in the bed, so not room for a gear tunnel like the Rivian or Telo have, that's basically the space between the front seat and the rear cab wall.

It may operate similar to a car alternator with a regulator, but it's still not a big hit to the power, like with my Ranger(which has halogens) running maximum draw of 1500w for an hour is 1.5kWh, on a truck like the Slate that's only 3% of the standard battery capacity, driving above 50mph or...
It doesn't exactly work like that, the DC-DC inverter on an EV is set to output a specific amount of 12v power, like the one on my Ranger does 1500w, that's it's output regardless of draw, so it has power to run the hi-fi stereo, charge the 12v battery, run the hvac blower and all the lights at...
