  1. Regen braking non adjustable ? Deal breaker for me.

That seems like it would be very disconcerting the let off the gas and coast when expecting regen to slow or stop you. It would be nice if letting of the gas was always just coasting, and stepping on the brakes activated regen , and as more braking is needed start bringing in the friction...
  2. Day countdown until pricing

Idler pulley seized, left me stranded, coil packs going bad. Rough running at times. A/c is not doing so well. Little stuff but annoying. All happening since the Slate reservation. No fun calling Dad to come get me. I am not a teenager anymore by many years. Dad will be 90 this year.
  3. Day countdown until pricing

Ever since I reserved a Slate my Toyota is behaving badly. It must know it's days are numbered....
  4. Coolant and Brake Fluid Type

I see limited slip differential in the specs, that would be great! On coolant the heavy duty truck stuff is good for 15 years. Would be nice if that is what is used.
  5. What would you tow?!

In the context of the Slate i think you are right about this.
  6. What would you tow?!

I have a heavy tow vehicle so a 2" ball is all i need on the slate to tow a small boat. My tow vehicle has an air ride hitch good for 16,000lbs.
  7. What would you tow?!

I do hope the electrical connection will be there. " lifestyle " vehicle, not something i had thought of. I suppose the Slate really could fit that idea, and yes it would have to be at least prepped for a receiver to accommodate those options. After all options is a big part of their idea.
  8. What would you tow?!

I saw a picture of the rear frame and there is a steel plate that supports the step on the bumper I expect this is at least in part what is holding this hitch. As already noted the ball is about the same hieght as if it was on the bumper. While a receiver is great to have for different hitches...
  9. Phone charging - wired or wireless?

I am hoping for at least two usb ports. One for my phone and one for my wife. Do modern cars have the cigarette lighter style outlets? That would be great too.
  10. Slate Maker fender flares shift tires outboard? Possible wheel spacers?

All joking aside hope you realize my concern is when I am with the truck but not inside it while working on a piece of equipment that it could lock itself with the keys and my phone in it. What a bummer that would be. At home the keys would not be in it. I do have other vehicles with keys in but...
  11. Does it lock by itself?

I am in a really secure area. Also when on a job and i am right with the truck i want to not have it in my pocket
  12. Does it lock by itself?

I am ok with it locking while driving. I hope you are right about WAL. My most current vehicle still uses an actuall key. Guess i am out of date....
  13. Wheels Specs - Bolt Pattern / Offset? Tire Size Change Via App?

I have always run AT tires on my pickups, far less tire failures, but a bit rougher ride. Is it likely the stock Slate tires will be specail EV tires and are those "weak" and prone to failure in anything but strictly on highway use with no load? I am not going to be rock crawling wirh it, but...
  14. Does it lock by itself?

Apparently modern cars lock automatically, when you are driving and when you leave the car. Does the Slate do this? I never lock my vehicles at home, and often leave the keys in them. Last thing i want is to carry a key fob all the time just so i do not get locked out. In a public parking lot...
  15. Composite Plastic Body Panel Care (Cleaning, Protecting, Waxing, Coating)

I have seen nice bedliner "paint" jobs. Will it adhere well to plastic? If it was not slate grey i would keep it as it is, but grey has to go. Thinking of painting, and being able to remove panels would make it easier. Anyone here have experience with painting plastic?
  16. Rooftop Solar Charging

Look into what the school bus conversion (skoolie) people do with solar. Many are fully capable with heat air conditioning, and home appliances. I expect i should be able to level 1 charge from bus. Plus i am setting up a trailer with solar, should have enough room for 2000 watts of solar. Used...
  17. Depth of water it can go through (water fording wade limit)

I have seen to many front wheel drive spinning wheels at a boat ramp. Rear wheel is better in this case. I do wonder about the tires though. One of the ramps i use can be muddy. Might be better to get all terrain tires. For my larger boats I have a heavy tow vehicle, good for 18,000 lbs towing.
  18. Depth of water it can go through (water fording wade limit)

While I do not expect it to Ford streams, it will tow a small boat occasionally, so I want to know how deep it can go in the water? When launching a boat it is typical to go with the back wheels about 6 inches deep What happens if you go to deep? I have not owned an EV , so this is new to me.
  19. Home charging

Thanks. We do have a level 2 at the railroad, as one of our guys has a Tesla.
