You can do what boats do and you buy a switch that either connects battery 1, battery 2, or both.
When normally driving (or boating) you have it on 1 and 2 to keep both charged. When you are running accessories, you turn one off. Thay way, one stays charged.
You could also have a relay trigger...
Cool to see. This looks to be an older version of the road simulator my company builds. Also looks like one of our competitor’s Wheel Force Transducers.
I think the front bumper is ugly and they haven't said it'll be a stronger mount for a winch or anything so I'm avoiding it.
I may do the headlight upgrade once comparisons are revealed, but for now I'm only getting the bed light. Bed lights are very nice for when you're drinking in a truck...
Back when AI was still rolling out, it said to throw car batteries into the ocean to recharge electric eels... I also remember some weird fake pizza recipe's from reddit that involved chemicals
240v Generator. I’ve actually looked into it and thought about using a generator to charge for long haul trips through the middle of nowhere.
One thing to note, I’ve had issues charging a FSAE EV car with a generator. The 240V waveform was not a true sin wave and it made the charger not...
It is probably a bug with maker. It isn’t the best on some of the accessories.
I could see there being an issue with 20” wheels with AT tires, but there likely shouldn’t be an issue with stock wheels.
I’ll look into those. I didn’t know that “three mountain” rating existed before.
I’ve just had “all seasons” that are meant for a winter in the South. Not 8” of snow.
Sort of what I figured. Snow tires are usually a soft compound which have higher RR, so I was curious if there were any low RR tires with the snow tread pattern.
Isn’t the slate truck only supposed to be 4-5kip? That’s not too much worse than other cars out there
This truck is going to be my first EV. I also live in the snowy north, so snow tires will be a must.
Any recommendations on brands and compounds? I usually rock the blizzakz, but I imagine EV specific ones will be better for the range.
I'd love this but I asked them a while back and they said something along the lines of "we have no current plans for a bench seat due to safety and regulatory costs"
I’ll use my phone occasionally but the biggest appeal for the truck for me is no screens. I’m sick and tired of screens in cars.
I wish it had an analog gauge cluster but this is as close as I can get.
I’ve got a lift table and when backing up off of it the front will lock up once the rear hits the ramp…
I can’t say the first time that happened I didn’t nearly dump my bike
I’ve done it before. The trick is to strap the ramps down so they won’t move, quadruple check nothings moving, and then send it up the ramp.
It’s still sketchy, but I’ve never dumped it. The worse part is getting down… I’ve never done that alone.
