Seems everyone is missing the point, sounded like OP had one of two issues. Long open Texas roads that most would choose to drive fast, or the other very dangerous over congested urban city lanes that probably would want to place a little more metal between yourself and the other cars/trucks and...
Ok took it off, apologies.
The point was itās always very traumatic to put your trust in something with so many unknowns.
Sometimes you just have to have faith and go.
Take care.
Their sale pitch is starting to remind me of the early 2000 Nokia phone or the 2020 Whoop, we will give you the base product and then nickel and āDollarāyou for the aftermarket items.
With no pricing, the Slate is starting to resemble the $39k Tesla CT, with $120k starting release price tag...
Yes sad most EVs selling points are still rated at 55MPH when itās has been 65-80MPH for decades.
Could charge up my MY to 220 miles, drive 90 miles to the service center at 80MPH and would have 6-8 miles left upon arrival.
*Yes healthy battery, just the wind, hills and traffic donāt like EV...
Disappointed in self, was really putting much faith in Tesla in 2019, then it all started. $39k Cybertruck would never happen and had to settle for this parasite truck in EV terms on far back side of the EV bubble. Time will tell.
Slate, Scout, Rivian, and Jeeps EVs very exciting times.
Almost like 2019 when Tesla and Ford first announced their rival truck EVs.
Who will win this second decade battle?
Back and forth, three year old Model Y for $25k with all the bells and whistles.
Or this analog mini truck with nothing for $24,950?
Been burned on other manufacturers on elevated price and or questionable battery tech being faulty, never with Tesla!
Yes cheap EV, =cheap battery and charging structure.
Had a 2023 Ford Lighting and was in shop 6 times for high voltage issues and once for low voltage issue. Junk!
Have LRMY and charge to 220 daily and drive 8 miles to work and 8 miles back. And with cabin heat prevention and anything else...
Ok, tell me again, why am I ordering this now if we have to wait one to two years to get one step closer to driving one?
Almost as bad as Jeep Recon, Ram Rev, and or Rivian R2 wait?
Still waiting since 2019 for my $39k Cybertruck so guess I am used to the abuse!
Hah! I am still waiting for Tesla to work out all the bugs in the Cybertruck, including the price gouging $40k to $50k increase.
Canāt wait to see Slate errors in action.
Reserve, Preorder!
Apple would not be what it is today if they would have said in 2007 āpreorder your iPhone, and we might get it to you sometime in 2010?ā
