Cargo Kit will be available to retail customers (confirmed by Slate)

That's exactly how I want Dog Mode, no rear seats with Fastback or Open Air!

If I buy my Slate as an SUV can I convert it to a truck with no extra parts?

Certainly confusion abounds. I am not confident I can ultimately get what I want, a Fastback convertible to open air.

    Value Proposition for SUV options?

I seem to recall that too but wasn't sure they were guessing/assuming and the Build tool trumps assumptions. Now to find a soft top...

    Value Proposition for SUV options?

Thanks for the tip! EDIT: Went back in and fixed, but it sure changed the total price quite a bit and lift kit is still TBD :|

    Value Proposition for SUV options?

I really hope that is why the Open Air Kit Compatibility notice says its incompatible with the Fastback SUV! In other words, I suspect you are correct that it is already included. I am also puzzled why that same notice lists the 17inch wheels, console armrest, and front left/right speakers...

    $24,950! Blank Slate Price announced

Speculating that with the SUV kit may be on par with arguably a more established and capable hybrid vehicle i.e. Maverick XL. It's going to make the decision tough but those of us who are psychologically committed will probably proceed with the $300 gamble, especially if we can DIY the heck out...

    Sound Deadening & Tint

Kilmat'd my F150 doors and that improved the sound from the stock system and of course deadened outside noise. Highly recommend it. Also had "clear" UV tint applied all around. "Feels" like it did something, but too many variables involved to really measure empirically. Can't hurt other than...

Why do YOU want a Slate?

Those reasons and to save some money commuting. Also, I like tinkering and the Slate may be great for that.

Rage Bait AI at its finest - why Slate will fail 😡

You lost me when claiming China cannot make an EV for $20K so here is some AI to counter this AI: Yes, China can and already does make electric vehicles (EVs) that cost around $20,000 or even less. The country has become a global leader in affordable EV manufacturing thanks to its: 1...

Issue loging in to Slate account.

Yes, same here. Monday AM it finally worked by sending code quick enough to establish account and verify reservation, configure, etc.

Engineering deep dive: Slate EV truck chassis, body, battery, safety, suspension, underbody undercarriage

"Design Backwards" sound like putting the customer first. What a novel idea. 😂

Engineering deep dive: Slate EV truck chassis, body, battery, safety, suspension, underbody undercarriage

I so agree with the GM comment. Heck, the first EV that I recall was excellent and from GM, killed and I believe only two still exist. One kidnapped by a wine maker / actor and one in the OSU museum. Don't recall the model name or the entire story but I do have the impression it was killed by...
