    How Long Till Delivery

I’ve always wondered if you really existed Joe! I’ve used your name alot when I was a kid in Indiana! 😂 Good points. I 🤔 that this EV build is so simple that production is much more streamlined and simplified than what my generation was used to at Cummins Engine company in 70’s-80’s.

    How Long Till Delivery

That really depends on production speed. Being first in line means less if they are popping these out like rats in a New York sewer!

The car I had dreamed of before the slate.

I raced for Oldsmobile factory racing in IMSA and love that design. You've kept it beautifully.

The car I had dreamed of before the slate.

Its very simple and traditional in build making it easier to produce I assume.

I don't like the price either. I have reservations on Slate, TELO, and R2 seeing who gets to me first. Wish terribly that Slate was 4WD out of the box because I live so far up mountain and gotta get to VA or I am screwed for rescheduling.

    Insurance premium cost for Slate

Crash ratings and some actuary data would be welcome vs speculation.

The itch that Slate scratches, the one that it sort of doesn’t

Exactly. Range for those of us in mountainous rural areas is an issue.

That’s great for you AZ but when I buy a truck I want the wheel tire options that work for me, not SLATE.

Slate isn't building the truck for us

I always try to buy fleet type stripped down basic trucks. If they garner economy of scale doing so good for us because their unit costs are lower and we have an opportunity to get a truck not a show car.

I solved the 2WD issues and snow for those of us enjoying the Rocky Mountain High roads.

Slate folks show that truck in testing running up and down STEEP grades with the AW tires and no chains and I might bite.

I THINK limited slip is built into motor brake interface but locking could assist but on steep grade will spin you 90o even if you are exceptional driver at some point. Where you back down.

I feel you except in my needs here at 9000 msl, we live on 15,000 acres of remote southern Colorado country with very steep narrow roads. At 65 YO and a 100% disabled veteran I can't install chains anymore so waiting on the AWD version. Wish there was some magic for the slate as a 2WD to climb...

Good point, change the transmission filter at about 30,000 miles if able to be changed, then the extractor technique before that change if needed and after is acceptable. The filters for transmissions generally are ; "screen door on submarine level " so not a real factor. Hydraulic filters on...
