Electric vehicle manufacturer Slate debuted its new truck tonight in Long Beach, California...
Just learned that even the keyfob can be customized! Autoline confirmed in this video. For example, the keyfob can be fitted with a built in screwdriver that fits all the screw sizes needed to install accessories on the Slate truck. Genius!
There's so much customization being offered by the Slate truck that I keep learning about as I watch / read more. Autoline posted a video where they talk about stickers for wheels to customize their look. Here's where it's mentioned.
Hope they close the deal quickly and get to work outfitting the plant for Slate truck production.
Interesting note: since Indiana doesn't allow direct to consumer car sales, Indiana residents will have to order delivery outside the state and drive it back in. But we've seen Texas Tesla owners...
I posted this in another thread too --
In this TFL video they turned a stock gray pickup into a blue wrapped SUV in 1 hour. So that includes the SUV top / cap install, seats install and the wrap. They had 10 guys working on it, but still this probably signals that converting from pickup to SUV...

Since there's no on board infotainment system and we'll be bringing our own device to run the Slate App, let's post the different app menus & screens to give us a better idea what to expect

Thanks for the info @YDR37. It's a weird decision (at least to me) when a direct-to-consumer car company chooses a state (if it's Indiana) that doesn't allow direct vehicle sales. It's like Scout Motors picking South Carolina for their plant.
Liking how minimalist the design is overall. Reminds me of the R1T but even more back to basics truck styling. I'm not a fan of the swooping car-like designs of the Ram 1500 REV and Silverado for pickup trucks.
