No Vehicle to Load or Outlets in Bed/Frunk

Definitely (especially if you're already thinking about using a gas vehicle for this). But I'll add that turning on the EV in the garage to run the fridge is waaaaaay better than going out in the elements to start a generator. Maybe @Mad Mac could consider a power wall? Doesn't have to be made...

Blank slate narrative is a mistake, and that needs to change

That is going to happen regardless.

Blank slate narrative is a mistake, and that needs to change

This is certainly one of those areas where I think slate would do well to advertise a "amenity" edition of their slate where you get all of the modern amenities one would enjoy on any new car. Radio, power windows, built in speakers, color wrap, etc. Sure it'll drive up the price but that's...

Back seats fold with no bump?

Do we know at this point if the rear seats fold down flush with the bed? Or is that still TBD?

If the Slate PU came only as an ICE, I would buy one.

You can tally me in the latter group. I wouldn't have any interest if it weren't an EV.

Frunk power outlet in action - cooking up eggs (video)

Hope you're wrong on the max power of the inverter. 500 watts is paltry. I think I have one that can do 1000 watts off a lead acid battery and it was only like $50 at the time.

What is Slate competing with for YOUR money?

For me it's competing against my current F150 Lightning, a desire to learn how to tow a camper, and cart my infant son around. My wife's EV6 can technically tow 2300 pounds if memory serves which is a pretty decent size camper. And my son is gonna grow out of his car seat eventually. So if...

So many posts about, will you still buy without EV credit [WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Can the internet just collectively decide already that this is impossible for a lot of things nowadays (and especially for EVs) as the last couple pages of this thread have shown? The EV tax credit's existence is inherently political and it's an important part of the discussion when politicians...

    Slate vs. Telo

If the Lightning I own never existed I'd probably opt for the Telo over a Slate since I kinda need the rear seating (I've got a 5 month old), and I want the bed. Plus I love the midgate. Agree that the Slate looks better though. If Slate ever releases a bench seat, or when the kiddo is on their...

Slate Open-Air version spotted driving and parking in Nashville, TN [video & photos]

Would it be allowed (depending on the state) to install the seats without the roll cage?

It looks like SLATE has pathetic EV efficiency. (and a rant).

This might have been mentioned already but there isn't much value comparing your own efficiency numbers to the EPA numbers. My Lightning gets an EPA estimate of 240 miles. With a 98 KWh battery pack I'm looking at 2.44 Mi/KWh. I regularly exceed that driving around town in optimal weather --...
