I should have been more thorough….the incorrect information I’m referring to is that somebody said the EV tax credit would still be available to buyers of an EV as long as they reserved a purchase before the EV tax credit is discontinued.
I agree that government should not be subsidizing EV purchases, but I do believe they should subsidize EV charging stations as part of an infrastructure package.
I had a Ranger XLT early 2000s… loved that truck. Was perfect size, not like these huge trucks you see nowadays. I’m excited for Slate to successfully launch.
I do rideshare and food deliveries in my Tesla and it’s ideal in those scenarios. No way a Slate could manage it with the ranges currently being offered. Also agree, definitely not a car for passenger rides (not even sure they allow two door cars on the platform).

Slate should already assume the tax credit is gone. They will maintain their image as affordable EV and small pick up if their base model stays no higher than $25k
I think it’s enough for contractors like plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, in which you need to bring your tools to a job site. It is not enough for rideshare or delivery services being on the go all day. And generally the usable range is around 50% of the advertised range, for those that...
