Will headlight bulbs be LED, halogen or incadescent

I'm referring to this option in the builder. Makes it seem like the "option" is for LED.

    Electric Power Mirrors Add-on PLEASE

Agreed. Power mirrors are not a safety issue. It's a convenience issue. There was a time passenger-side mirrors didn't even typically exist. My first two cars didn't have them. I can't imagine a situation whereby my passenger mirror being out of alignment was a major immediate safety concern...

Will headlight bulbs be LED, halogen or incadescent

Yep. More reliable, longer life, brighter, more flexible. I know the taillights are LED (or at least it's a build option).

Engineering deep dive: Slate EV truck chassis, body, battery, safety, suspension, underbody undercarriage

My guess is Slate will keep one standard for regen.

Engineering deep dive: Slate EV truck chassis, body, battery, safety, suspension, underbody undercarriage

In my view, 400V was likely chosen due to reduced cost (a major selling point of this vehicle), and more readily available parts. I personally think that was the right decision from a company perspective. I don't like the thicker and heavier cables, and less efficient charging of 400V, but...

    Gas vs Electric cost

I've had a Tesla Model Y Long Range for five years now, and the charge stats over the last 12 months show I spent $801 charging (to include estimates of home charging, which at 11.5kW (using a Tesla wall connector at 48A) represents 88% of my charging. Total was for 4,167KWh, and estimates I...

    99% sure they'd be LED.

Why Doug DeMuro Thinks the Slate Truck Will Fail

I'm 50 and nearing my first retirement (will work another 15 years) but moving to a large property about the time this thing is released and the idea of something I can just putter around town in, that I drive (not the other way around), seems very appealing to me. I'm an empty nester so there's...

Why Doug DeMuro Thinks the Slate Truck Will Fail

Yeah, the CT was always absurd and wasn't sure what market it really served.

One-Pedal Driving confirmed for Slate truck

Regen is table stakes for an EV. Nothing is really one-pedal driving though. There's just greatly reduced use of the friction brakes. Heck, when I was a kid most cars were three pedal driving. Try convincing a Gen Z person that this was a thing. haha

    Electric Power Mirrors Add-on PLEASE

This is very true. You're supposed to adjust the passenger mirror out until you can just see the side of the vehicle when you're looking from the center, and the driver's mirror out until you can just see the side of the car when your head is pressed against the window.

    Electric Power Mirrors Add-on PLEASE

I'd be ok with it being an optional thing. I want to keep costs down, so I don't want this, and it's kind of a first world problem for me to manually adjust the mirrors.

    Why Just One Color?

Sure it does. More colors is against their business approach.

Plastic weighs less. Any reduction in weight increases range.

    Heat Pump vs Resistive Heater

Agreed. This will be a huge consideration.

Why Doug DeMuro Thinks the Slate Truck Will Fail

Oh interesting. Great. A bench would be terrific in the rare chance I'd have a second passenger - and likely wouldn't be for long distances.

Walmart EV Charging Network Plans to Blanket US

This was a great video. I'm excited to see the largest retailer in the world getting serious about charging. There's a business in it for sure.

Does the vehicle have any 110v outlets?

I haven't seen any in all the videos I've seen. I'd say no. Remember, they're keeping this vehicle simple.

Chargeway - the app you'll need

Will look into it. Tough to beat PlugShare (and the native Tesla app and nav system).

    Tesla Supercharging ?

A NACS port isn't enough to state for sure that it will be able to charge via the SC network. They will need a partnership with Tesla. As a Tesla owner the last five years, I can attest to the reliability of the network. Never had an issue charging (short of a broken stall which is rare). I've...
