Will you have self control when choosing add-ons?

The only thing I will be adding to my hopeful Slate will be a set of speakers, and that's about it. I like the idea of a stripped down vehicle. It's how I've always bought them. So, no worries for me Dan

Slate merch, who has made a purchase, I can’t be the only one

I want one of those jackets as well. I am just waiting on them to stock more of them in my size (XXL). Dan

Air Suspension, Carplay, onboard cooler, double din radio, climate control, wi-fi, hands free liftgate, self driving, waffle maker...

I always buy stripped down cars, and refuse to buy anything newer than 2015. Never had a backup camera, no screens in the car, Until recently, always had a manual transmission (herniated disk in my neck makes my right shoulder painful, so I sadly had to go automatic), my truck has crank windows...

    Small vs Large Trucks

I always find it funny that they compare the bed of a new truck to an old truck. I ONLY buy trucks with 8' beds, otherwise, you cut down on the utility. I have no idea why they shrunk down the bed for a 4-door. If you want that, just get a Suburban or something. But, I agree, my 2500HD is...

Another fun commercial: "We’re bringing back crank windows. Get ready to get strong."

My 2013 Silverado has crank windows. I've had that truck for 5 years now, and I am not complaining. Come on, it's a truck. Dan

What Would You Do if The Slate Truck Does Not Manifest?

Not buy one. I don't need this thing as my car and truck are plenty. I just wanted this thing. No harm, no foul. Dan

    What would you tow?!

Nothing... I'll be keeping mu Silverado 2500HD for that purpuse Dan

    Sliding rear window?

I'd like a slider, but a pop-out would work too. I would rather have a slider though. My current truck doesn't have that, and they only make a slider with the power slider option. My truck is a very stripped down fleet truck, so I don't even have a button for that. I miss the slider. Dan

    Door vent wing windows

Oh man, I really miss those vent windows. I had those in a few vehicles, back in the day, and I really miss them, especially in my truck. Yes, if you can, bring 'em back! Dan

Playing devil's advocate here, comparing Slate Truck vs. Ford Maverick

Beats me. I know some young folks that don't want one because of the lack of tech, but when I talk to folks my own age, they are all over this truck. Dan

Not that stripped compared to my 80s Toyota mini truck

Having owned an 80's Toyota (I think mine was an '84), I agree. I gotta tell you though, I loved my little Toyota. I only got rid of it as the frame was completely rusted through and no longer safe to operate. But I thoroughly enjoyed that stripped down little truck. Dan

Playing devil's advocate here, comparing Slate Truck vs. Ford Maverick

These young'uns keep missing the point of this truck. Dan

What are your personal MUST HAVE Add-Ons/Accessories for your Slate?

All I want in mine are a set of speakers and a center console. I want the rest of it bare bones. That's the reason I reserved one. Dan

Some imaginary person wouldn't want one? Who cares? Here is why I actually do.

Kroked, another vote for preaching to the choir. I would NEVER want a Maverick. Total waste. If you are going to get one of those... may as well get a wagon. I log for a truck with no frills. The 2013 Chevy Silverado 2500HD in my avatar is a stripped down fleet truck. Crank windows, AM/FM...

    Truck Bed Bulkhead Safety

That's another option Slate can add... a headache rack. Had that happen where a load shifted while loading it and shattered my back window. Been installing headache racks on my trucks ever since Dan

Slate EV Truck Will Be U.S.-Exclusive, for Now (Article)

I always felt a truck isn't a truck unless it has an 8' bed. But, I think it's all in how you are going to use your truck. My Silverado 2500HD is used as a tool for me, and I often haul lumber, drywall, etc, as well as heavy vintage machinery, so I need a heavy duty, 8' bed for my truck needs...

Slate merch, who has made a purchase, I can’t be the only one

I normally do not purchase items with a company logo because, to me, it feels like I am paying THEM to advertise for THEM. So, unless a company gives me the logo shirt, hat, etc. for free, I refuse. However, I believe in SLATE so much, I went ahead and ordered a T-shirt (pocketless) and a...

    What was your first vehicle?

Yup. Mine had the 2.2, automatic, but was not the Shelby model. As my first car, I loved it. Dan
