lol.. you are like an abused spouse and dont even recognize that this is what we are talking about with unreliable.
"I just had mine done at 99,447 miles. The total cost was $5,444.57. Parts: $1732.49 Labor: $3711.08"
I think this sounds right.
The current model is great for me as I dont haul a ton of heavy stuff or tow. I do carry very dirty/noxious stuff. But what you suggest is a great way to expand the market without necessarily changing the essence of the truck.
I would want a bench seat which would...
i also hate the idea of removing something and throwing it away to upgrade. Plus most cars dont make upgrading infotainment easy.
I love how slate just has a slot and you can put in infotainment or not.
I hope they have power in place for front and rear dashcams.
They only hinted at the price and people are saying they walked back under 20K and that they keep raising the price.
So I can see why they are hesitant to give early details
a 4 door is literally a completely new car. There is no way.
Next up will be AWD for sure. They have already created the space for it.
If an extended bed doesnt require changes to the core frame, then I think an extended bed and a shorter SUV accessory cap that allows you to have the two rows...
yes, here is an earlier post showing detailed pictures of the rollbar installed

I drive a crewmax tundra. A few months ago I hit a curb making a right turn and got a flat tire. This is after 15 years of driving it. Narrow streets are a pain.
My wife wont even drive it, so if her car has an issue I have to drive her around instead of her just taking my car.
I 100% need a...
the hilux champ is called the stout in peru. It is 20K because of VAT(18% and 6-10% of tariffs) those would be comparable to the chicken tax. Peru doesnt have all the safety requirements that the US has like airbags, abs, backup cameras, lane departure etc.
The biggest issue is cafe standards...
yeah I think they are already planning for the extra motor for 4wd.
Adding a foot or two to the bed should be very easy.
They could have made the base a flatbed so a bed swap or any other kind of bed modification was possible - like a camper or an extended bed. but then the panels wouldnt...
is it axles? Battery? motor? etc
Someone posted about the toyota IMV 0/hilux champ concept. It is 12K in 3rd world markets because they have stripped everything. Crank windows, 2 doors, no radio, etc. Very much the same philosophy as the slate.
It mentions things like no ABS makes it easier...
the philosophy of that truck is the same as the slate. US requires all kinds of extra safety features which bump the price from 10K. ABS, backup camera, airbags, etc.
Im 55, and I never drove a manual until I was 30 when I bought a manual audi tt (not entirely true as there was one night in college...)
I only owned the car for a few years and driving a manual was annoying in heavy traffic or on hilly roads. It was interesting to learn, and I have done...
One possible answer is they get a fixed number of units per year. So if the 2 door is 30K with a 3K markup possible, but they can also sell a 50K with a 3K markup possible, they are going to take the 50K cars.
Everyone has a theory and we will see what the market says if they make it to production.
One theory is that dealers stock the highest priced items that they can sell
If there are 25k, 35k, and 45k options and they are limited via quota to 40 vehicles, they will tend to stock the 35k and 45k options.
People that want to pay less are forced to buy used.
AI estimates that the 2 door bronco sells 15-38K/year. But it also costs about 39K
You can also look at 2 door coupes to see how many of those are sold.
One suggestion is that as 2 door cars have gotten much more expensive the demand has gone down. 2 door cars should make a car less expensive...
