Sounds petty but the EV warning sound worries me. We had a Niro EV that had a backup sound that made neighbors think they were getting deliveries. The Fiat 500E has an Italian song. Some sound like space ships. I love EVs but wish they had no sound at all.
Anybody know what noise our trucks...
No wrap for me ..... at least not right away. That Cherrybomb starter kit has caught my eye tho. It'll depend on the truck itself. I do have such a soft spot for base vehicles it takes a while before the first mod arrives.
Wonder if its better to order a blank slate and then do the cargo top as a mod. Maybe get the blank delivered faster? We've done Jeep hard tops both ways. Got Jeep faster as soft top (and then had both) but factory installed hard top was cheaper and had better set up. Either way we'll probably...
Since this is a year old thread, does anyone know if getting a cargo kit is still an option? Starting to think more about this as we approach order time. That pic is Badass!
Can I quote you on that!?! Selfishly hope that comes true. My gut tells me Slate is going to be "all or nothing" tho. They'll either sell a ton or less than Fiat's 500e.
"How long" can really be an important question when you need a vehicle now. My reservation went in on 4/25 but I see a lot of reservations from that first week. Could I be waiting for another year or more? Thinking about buying a used EV of some kind and then sell it whenever the Slate comes in...
I might be able to get to the Boston event. When will they announce where it will be? Much prefer Maine or New Hampshire tho. We have a Seacoast Cars & Coffee in NH that would be a fun place to see it! Wouldn't be all good (many diehard gas and revving engine sounds) but it would sure start some...
Maybe they were targeting directly at me! ;)
I knew it needed to be in my garage from the first release and each move since has confirmed it. I've been toying with the idea of trying an EV conversion of a Willys CJ3A, 1988 Samurai or 1979 Toyota Pickup and, believe me, the Slate is a much...
Still all in! I want a small (1979 old Toyota pickup small) 2 door (like my 2 door Wrangler) EV truck with roll down windows (like my Wrangler). I don't listen to the radio and I want something I can modify if the mood strikes me (again like my Wrangler). I want it for around town and going to...
