Nope. I specifically said that I didn't care about towing. I cared about payload only.
Google gave me that info. I couldn't find it on Ford's page and I stood corrected about that. I still would never want a Maverick.
I'm with you on wanting something that fits in a parking space. And absolutely agree that the extra doors eat into bed space. No thanks.
So, 1500 lbs. The Maverick still has too many drawbacks, including a shorter bed. I also don't care about top speed. I just want to safely get where I'm going...
I think they're real people. Only because when I was chatting with one of them this fall, they told me their name and that we'd met at the in person event in Hollister and I of course remembered them and we had a little chit-chat.
It's rather unusual of course, most chat agents are bots. I've...
As I said, I don't care about towing. I will never tow anything. I know some people want that, but I am not one of those people.
A Google search told me that the hauling capacity was 1,156 to 1,545 lbs. I couldn't find this info on any of Ford's pages and I didn't feel like knocking myself out...
I don't know what I would get. I really want a smallish 2 door EV truck with a camper shell and a roof rack. Something big enough to haul my glamping equipment and my kayaks. That I can see over the hood and not miss small children, which apparently is a problem with some of the newer pickups...
What I'd like to see in a new model is a two door truck, pretty much the same as the original model, but with a longer bed. And with some kind of camper shell with windows. And roof rails. With more cargo capacity. Improved batteries would always be nice.
I'm still never going to tow anything...
The trick with cats is to get some feliway spray, which does something to calm them. Spray that on a towel, put the towel in the crate and leave it open for them to get used to. Then find the cat and get them in somehow or other and be prepared for them to meow loudly the whole trip. Hopefully...
I disagree about Rivian. Out of curiosity, I was looking at their upcoming small SUV and they had no real information about interior space. They had a lot of pictures of people doing interesting stuff though.
I told them that I was looking forward to my Slate being delivered for my birthday. And the very nice people I talked to at the in person events didn't seem to want to disappoint anyone. So... 🥳
The Slate website still says "Wrapped, not Painted" on the personalization page. I suppose you could paint it once you took delivery. But I wonder if the writer just got that wrong. Slate has never talked about painting the truck, even as an aftermarket option.
Looks like they're working with Yakima? Maybe the Slate truck (blank Slate or with SUV or Cargo kit) will be included in their list of makes/models, to see if a particular rack/accessory will fit your vehicle. If so, that's great news! Hope they'll be talking to Thule and Malone as well. (I've...
Extended range battery. Cargo kit with windows. Wrap. Center console. Roof rack. Good speakers.
I haven't looked at the Maker for a while, so maybe something else?
And I'll be glamping! 😊
My submitted questions had to do with interior and exterior dimensions and roof capacity. So, almost along the lines you were thinking. I haven't had a answer by email, but I'm pretty sure that's because they don't have these things completely firmed up yet. I'm hoping that when they do, they...
100%
And I liked the surfboard question. It was a serious question for the person who asked it. I share the concern about how much stuff can fit in the enclosed cargo bed. But I seriously don't care about towing.
So who's to say what a serious question is? 🤔
