I've seen various comments on the base rims not looking the best, what are the chances they'll give some hubcap options? Tesla and other EV makes even have some hubcap options to improve Aero.
Maybe get some mooneyes or Caddy wire rim ones lol.

I am too, the Telo was a fairly decent review, much better showing than Scout did, still no idea why Scout demo'd their pre-preproduction prototype instead of letting it bake some more. I'm assuming this is still a pre-production but like the Telo a lot more polished.
I think a 4 door, 4WD suv, like an old Blazer/Explorer size would be a natural progression, keep the same face and even the same back as the suv kit but add a 2nd set of doors and another motor up front.
I liked it, didn't expect anything too earth shattering, but the fact they're taking the time to take some questions and answer them, and show the facility is pretty nice. Also they did take some less than softball questions like towing behind an RV, could just skipped that but they put it out...
I really like that wrap, I wonder what the cost of custom designs will be, they seem to be doing them a lot on the demos, don't think it'll be the flat $500 though.
I asked about a sliding rear window option. In my 2000 Ford Ranger Electric with all of 40 miles of range it really does help as passive A/C, in the 50s and 60s you can crack the rear window and not need the defroster(moisture in the inside air balances with outside air), in the 80s you can...
For the 12v accessory battery, probably the same, maybe a little better as EVs don't need 'cranking amps'. For the traction battery, should be a non-issue.
Early EVs, especially Nissan Leafs had terrible battery management and degraded horribly, especially in the hot environments they were...
150 miles in the WLTP cycle is more like 100 miles in regular use. That 59kWh pack is less than the original Chevy Bolt had, and it was one of the most efficient EVs getting nearly 4 m/kWh.
The Slate base pack will have over double that and estimating only 150 miles, and that's without the...
We went to the tour spot this weekend in Charlotte, NC and grabbed some pictures and a hat. I put down my deposit now seeing it in person.
One of the reps said they've made over 70 prototypes, and when the pre-production models start coming out they'll look to start having some test drive...
I'm looking forward to going to the Charlotte event. It'll be at "Camp North End" which is a former industrial complex turned into shops/housing/events. Free parking and lots of crafty types of shops, a vinyl record store in the area, definitely fits the vibe, hope for good weather.
My Bolt does 0-60 in about 6.5, prior to that the fastest car I had was a manual Dodge Neon that did it in....8 seconds, so this should be fine. Especially compared to my Ranger Electric that does it in a solid 18 seconds so one more check in the "For Slate" column there.
I hope they keep their options open for at least LFP, with the $7500 tax credit going away, if they can get an LFP pack for less than the NMC they were getting to be able to qualify for the credits, that's a lower bottom line, but also with an LFP pack there's less penalty for using the entire...
Hello, I'm an existing EV truck owner and keeping my eye on the Slate as it may be a good option to consolidate. My EV Truck is a 2000 Ford Ranger electric, and very like the Slate, it came with roll up windows(I've updated to power windows), de dion rear suspension, single cab, upgradeable...
