I hope Slate understands smaller people want to drive this. Five-foot-two me wants to reach the pedals without a cushion in back.
Anyone know is the seat is height adjustible and has lumbar support?
I had thought this was a type of supercapacitor holding an electrostac charge. Donut hasn't exactly given us much. Come to think of it, neither has Slate.
Anyhoo... when I first heard about Donut, I immediately thought "supercapacitor." Do you know if it isn't one?
I'm hoping the Blank Slate will be about $25,000. Realistically, I'm thinking $26,500. Extended-range battery will prolly add $2,500. So you get a 240-mile truck for about $29,000. You also get the ability to haul stuff you'd never want in a Leaf - like lumber, large furnature, or gravel...
Capacitors charge fast. That's what they do. Being electrostatic, they don't have to go through the electrochemical conversion true batteries do.
I'm more interested in capacity at a scale that can move a car. If Donut can do that, they've won.
Im not talking about the generator inlet for the fire hazard. I mean tge 14-50R adapter thats going in between...
Those things suck. The molded-in contact points loosen over time and the plastic around them melts.
Take a look at beatle's post above. His was wired into a Leviton...
You're making a suicide outlet. If an insect gets in there, it'll be fried. If your finger gets in there, it'll be fried. You may wind up doing the sixty-hertz shuffle.
Also... those adaptors are a fire hazard. The connection will degrade after a few plug and unplug cycles. It'll get hot...
We get the large Isuzu cabovers here. Two doors only, but with a bed larger than anything Stateside. The engine is diesel - 2.5 liter, I think. In any case it's large enough to run aircon as an option. Those suckers can haul a lot.
Isuzu used to have the slogan, "Rajanya Diesel" - The King...
Rhode Island allows firect out-of-state purchase of vehicles, thereby bypassing the dealership rule.
An EV rebate is available only if purchased from an in-state dealer, unless there are no dealers in the state that sell it.
I've not seen the Hilux here - gas, diesel, or electric. Never seen a crew-cab, either. The long-nose body style is not considered practical.
Nearly all pickup trucks in Indo are cab-overs with a long bed and small two-door cab. They're mostly Daihatsu and Mitsubishi* with tiny 1.0 to 1.5...
I'm in Jakarta, and the site loads fine. Good to know that .id domains aren't geoblocked.
SUVs are almost a necessity here. There are potholes on many of the roads - some are downright miserable. Seasonal flooding is also a thing. Colossal traffic jams negate much of the fuel efficiency a...

I think you should add a new column "Where did you hear about Slate?" to the registration form. I'd like to know if the Jay Leno vid influenced new reservations.
