For some programs the smarts can live in the charger rather than the car. Xcel has a program called ChargingPerks that works with Ford and BMW directly, or any car if your charger is a Chargepoint or Wallbox. That is how I’d plan to participate with the Slate.

I get that too. But since Slate comes with its own charger, which wouldn’t do that, I’ll have to see what the most affordable route is.

Appears the long range battery is a dead issue. Only one battery 205 mile range.
