One thing you have to consider is the dealer fees and their other upcharges, many times can be $1,000 or more. One of our local Ford dealers tacks on a $900 fee for documents and another $250 for Dealer prep. Then you get the dreaded AMV stickers. Kind of a ripoff.
Not sure if Slate will add anything on but I hope not.
Well slate did state in there q&a video that yhe price is the price besides the taxes I belive so ether there is no extra fee or its pre-baked in

And will have four doors (which I neither need nor want), smaller bed (limiting functionality), and a larger footprint (which sucks in the city and my garage).

Why does everything have to have four doors? What's next... crew-cab cargo vans? Ambulances?
You’re not wrong if flying solo. 2 door simplicity could be great for a tiny in town or space limited pickup.

But for those already considering an SUV upfit or with family … from a market competitiveness angle, pricing and range are going to be key compared to ford’s option.

I’m dreaming of extended range at $25k, would obviously help drive demand, and the stars align for me.

With just two doors and two seats you don’t have to worry about your mother in law wanting to go with you and your wife.. lol unless she wants to ride in the truck bed.

You have to wonder if Slate leaked a price just to see what the bots would do.

That’s about $5,000 more than they originally advertised. What are we getting for the added cost?
What are you talking about they have always said in the mid-20's before they would roll with below mid-20's* the "*" said with federal tax credits normal mid-20's
