I see no reason to figure on Amazon being involved in truck fulfillment. Accessories sure, but they don't have the infrastructure and in many cases their locations wouldn't have offices.
There is already a rail and truck network that distributes vehicles. They will likely just buy space on that network and contract with a company that already deals with vehicles for signing the vehicle over to the buyer.

They won't be back this year, If there was a veto proof landslide in the midterms, and they rushed to get them back, MAYBE they could be in place next year, but both seem unlikely. More likely after the next presidential election, but even then there will be a delay.
The current party in power is trying to pass a yearly fee on EV drivers, at about double what gas drivers average in federal gas taxes. Basically an EV punishment tax.
I didn't say this year in 2026. I've previously stated in other threads that the tax incentives will be back in 2027 in time for Slate's ramp up of production rates that will support material deliveries in 2027. The 2026 mid-terms don't install the new Congress until 12 noon January 3, 2027. So no proposed tax changes can be passed as bills until at least January 3, 2027.

But I think April or as late as June 2027 is when the revived EV tax incentives will be effective.

I think June is probably the earliest for something to go into effect, and that still depends on congress passing a bill that won't get vetoed. Someone isn't going to be happy if the other party tries to undo all the stuff he's "accomplished" and may just veto everything possible.

I seriously hope not.. the incentives were detrimental to the EV market. We need manufacturers to reduce MSRP like Chevrolet and Kia already did, and the used prices to stabilize.

Agree 100%. I'm in other threads saying the exact same, that the consumer targeted tax incentives were a crutch that held back innovation.

I'm not an advocate of the tax incentives by any imagination, I'm just looking at it from a political perspective and believe the incentives will be reinstated.

Who to believe - you or the forum member with the word Railroad in their forum name??? Besides I picked up a new word - drayage. Now I just need to look up what that means…
Ha! I was actually agreeing with Mr. Railroad, however my language may not have been clear. Amazon does not have direct spurs, but instead runs railyard -> FC.

For a variety of reasons, Amazon is not a good partner for delivery. They don't have a significant advantage on cost due to that drayage (would be incurred at Amazon or elsewhere). They are not customer facing warehouses, so if you show up 30 minutes early for your delivery appt (or your appt is late), there is no "waiting" area, no public restroom, no coffee pot, etc. unless you happen to be an Amazon Blue Badge. They are also highly optimized spaces, with parking lots full, and no internal real estate to dedicate to this. Not to mention, Amazon has no stake in Slate. Mr Bezos =/= Amazon.

Heck, a public library parking lot would be a better option.

And I failed to include the requisite emojis to indicate humor.

For some reason the word DRAYAGE reminded me of the word PARKOUR and all its memes.
