Air Bags & Slammed?

Soon as I saw this truck I wanted it air-bagged and slammed! 🤤
Any news from RideTech or other company making an air bag system? Figure something this year at SEMA should appear.

Not my thing, but it's a classic thing to do with mini trucks. At least the rear suspension could handle it out of the box, and there should be lots of ways to handle the front. We're still about a half of a year out from the first being delivered, but I think Slate would love to have it slammed ASAP.

Of all vehicle equipment to drag on the ground, I would want to avoid damaging a potentially incendiary battery pack. But that's just me.

Because gas isn’t combustible? Have you ever seen the Pinto explode?
I never understood this fear of other type of fuel when sitting on a container of liquid and vapor that can literally act like a bomb.
LFP also had a much hire thermal runaway threshold than NMC. It won’t burn like the Tesla videos going up in seconds. Hell, it might actually be safer than petrol.

I don't disagree with what you say here. It's easy to find combustibles in transportation.
I just question the need for lowering.
To each their own I guess. Just seems antithetical of the main attraction for the Slate FN - cheap, affordable transportation that gets more & more expensive with every modification.

There is likely a solid plate under the battery, while most current gas cars have an unshielded poly gas tank exposed to road hazards.

I’ve been in lowered trucks (lowered vehicles generally). That ride sucks. I get the appeal in the looks, hard pass for me though.
I would consider a lowering kit for more aerodynamics and range, as long as the ride doesn’t get too stiff. I don’t expect to float like an old Cadillac or Lincoln, I don’t want my teeth to rattle when I hit a road crack either.
Happy to gawk and give you a kudos though.

A low gravity RWD vehicle with good weight distribution and a short vheelbase is a natural for lowering and some low profile tires.
