Anyone planning alarm / anti-theft system on their Slate?

That is correct, but those exposed fasteners are all the bait needed to attract some clueless culprit with too much confidence.

I don't even plan to lock it

I mean yeah, tbh, somebody is gonna just open the door, see basically nothing, and leave. I don't plan on adding a screen anytime soon. Phone mount is fine and they can take my Bluetooth speaker for all I care. I guess they could take my random assortment of crumpled receipts.

I thought of ordering an ED209 from OmniCorp to keep in the bed of my Slate to defend my plastic panels and their inaccessible security bolts.
They have a great car alarm commercial in that movie as well.

Exterior panels are fastened from the inside as well. Trucks are having their tailgates stolen since forever and now headlight assemblies are being removed.

I mean, you can access the hinge pins and other fasteners on a Jeep Wrangler pretty easily.

Pull the battery contactor circuit fuse and the car is not going anywhere without a flatbed (or a thief with enough knowledge and patience to troubleshoot it).

No need where I live 20 miles from the southern border (& the new stupid wall) nor need to lock the doors or car's, most don't lock the house. have left th garage open when gone for the weekend with no issues.
at any rate going to Sierra Vista, Nogales or Tucson never lock the car, 15 years no worries

I don't see Slates being the target of parts thieves. I just don't. Parts thieves go for high volume models with a huge existing parts demand.

I do see Slates being the object of a lot of attention. I got that in the early days of my Maverick, including people jumping out of their cars at intersections to ask me how I liked it. You guys should prepare yourself for the weirdness of that.
