Doing oil changes in my driveway in the middle of summer or winter is not something I ever want to do again at the age of 72. I did it for too many years. Paying someone else to do them at $80 a pop isnāt something I want to do along with sitting around for an hour waiting on them and listening to them trying to sell me new wiper blades, air filters and other stuff I donāt need either. I have better things to spend my retirement doing.I love doing oil changes. To some extent I actually think having nothing to wrench on is one reason some people really don't want to switch to EVs. Some find "connection" with the car by performing maintenance, of which EVs don't really have any that normal laypeople typically do! Other than tire rotations, I guess.
