Gas prices make any EV more appealing for me. I had to go out and buy a car, and it was my choice to go with something that required premium. I couldn’t have anticipated the state of the world now, but it’s hurting a lot and I deeply regret my decision.

If we start a poll, maybe he/she will come back. Something like "where has AZFox gone?"
1. Went after R2.
2. Bought a Maverick.
3. Bought a Bolt.
4. Partner says no truck.
5. Got hired by Slate.
6. Got hired by Lucid.
7. Still mad after the march argument.
8. ...

Geeze I don't know him/her that well.
#2 and #3 would be the most ironic choices.

I didn't either. But they mainly stayed on topic about the Slate. I had a feeling I disagreed with them on some political things, but generally agreed with them on the Slate. And they were friendly.

I'm kind of sad that a stupid discussion about design, which I played a part in, may have ended up in a person, who was here long before me, deciding to leave. Especially since I think we mainly agreed that the unencumbered approch Slate is using is more appealing (aka we don't want what detractors called "well provisioned" vehicles). Which is what the discussion was rooted in before it got off topic.

I wish I were that powerful in real life.

They are a seasoned forum user with the most messages and highest reaction score here. One intense debate isn't going to keep them away. I am inclined to think that real-life factors are impacting their spirits. 😳

Some of the discussions here can be highly abstract to me. Surely they are intellectually stimulating to those who become engaged. I am more familiar with debates over 0w20/5w30 and 3K/5K/10K OCI on the Mazda forum. 😂 Those are still not settled.

No weasel words. The decision to promote BEV as a solution (or um, partial solution) to the perceived threat of anthropogenic climate change was made by politicians (i.e. "made for us"), which is just as sure a claim that the current Iranian conflict (and resultant temporary price increase of petroleum fuels) was "made for us by one man" (i.e. the current Executive Branch Administration). Gasoline purchase is not forced on anyone just as much as EV purchases are not forced on anyone...
trumpy bull shit
