I am given pause because Ford accepts the California 1st time EV buyer rebate of $3,500. Slate has not yet done so. Brings the price of the Ford Phathom down to be slightly less than the Slate with many features already included.

There is a limited pot too. Unsure it will still be available when or if Fathom ships.

I wouldn't do more than keep that in mind, until we hear whether Slate will participate in that or not, and remember the the first fords won't even be sold until the end of next year, and even then, getting the "mythical" base model may be hard and take another year or 2 wait, during which the price may go up.
