Assuming they are simple on off switches, they should work, but it will take a little DYI skill to do the proper splicing.Could the "5 Switch" be utilized to run aftermarket seat-heaters? Electronics noob here.![]()
My impression is outside of a. Heat pump, gas is more energy efficient at heating than electric. But electric is more energy efficient for engines..yeah. Leaf 24/30kwh battery.
That Youtuber would have been better off attaching a 2 stroke chain saw engine to the drive wheels to save battery juice.

A gas engine produces so much waste heat that warming the cabin is practically free, whereas an EV must spend battery power to stay warm in the winter. My impression is outside of a. Heat pump, gas is more energy efficient at heating than electric. But electric is more energy efficient for engines..
With that said, heating a chair may be more efficient than the full cabin
Somehow, I didn't realize the "missing explosion and friction machine making waste heat" thing was a disadvantage for heating while driving. I've mostly thought of EV climate control in the context of not needing to idle the engine while stopped.A gas engine produces so much waste heat that warming the cabin is practically free, whereas an EV must spend battery power to stay warm in the winter.
With electric resistance heating you get 100% efficiency but it eats batteries.Somehow, I didn't realize the "missing explosion and friction machine making waste heat" thing was a disadvantage for heating while driving.
