Personally I would expect to see between 5 and 30 miles on the Slate’s odometer at delivery. Of course, this would be completely acceptable due to factory testing, loading and unloading from trucks or trains, and perhaps staging at the delivery partner.
Also, if taking home delivery to my curb I’m wondering if the Slate will be driven or flat bedded from the delivery center. And do I get a choice?
In the past, I recall seeing less than 50 miles on a brand new car at delivery. I understand that anything under 100 is totally normal, but if it’s over 100 miles I’m going to be a bit hesitant, wondering it was a demo or test-drive vehicle. I think it’s going to be a “take it or leave it” situation as there may be a significant delay on the next one in queue.
