I'm only guessing from all the identical names but it seems to me this has to be the wraps Slate will offer.

This is a link to a PDF of all the colors. https://multimedia.3m.com/mws/media/1635871O/3m-wrap-film-series-swatch-color-poster-2080.pdf

This is the official site of the 2080 film

This link downloads a pdf of tips and tricks. (not that informational)

Here's the video of the newest colors which has been posted before.

Looks like a good quality film. Love the color variations.

Warranty looks good, seems like it needs to be installed by a 3M installer to get the warranty, but it looks like the vertical surfaces are warrantied for 7 years in most cases:

The zone map shows that most of the continental US is in Zone 2, with the desert southwest being in Zone 3.

That's bonkers seeing the warranty of only 2 years on horizontal surfaces. I know vinyl has a lifespan, but I wonder how long you should expect it to last. Cars have warranties of only 3 years, but they often go a dozen or more if you take care of them.

Makes me want to get a few sample colors, and practice wrapping something!

I'm a bit surprised that they're going with name-brand 3M vinyl, is that really the most affordable and durable option?

My research on wraps (at OEM and installer sites) says the lifespan can vary greatly, and garaging can extend life. An average might be 5-7 years. That can drop to below 4 years in harsh environments. It can extend to as much as 8+ years in a garage.

Hey, if a wrap fails, I assume you just strip it with a heat gun and drive around in a blank Slate? Or maybe wear the failing wrap as a badge of honor?

From the 3M product care guide:

Spot Treat Stains – Soften difficult contaminants, like tree sap, by soaking them for several minutes with hot, soapy water. Then, rinse thoroughly and dry. Do not use rough scrubbing or abrasive tools, which will scratch the film

I wonder what the recommendation is for bird droppings which are then baked into the film by the sun. Does anyone have first-hand experience? The black crows in my neighborhood have a keen eye for shiny cars!

Does any of the under color bleed through, like the gray of Slate, or black or a dark color? If you put a white wrap on a dark color, does anything show through? Have they done any long term testing on wraps on the type of plastic used on Slate? It seems like it wouldn’t adhere to plastic as well as it would to paint.

No. Not with any wrap worth its cost.

Okay, explain ... *don't make smart a$$ comment* (<- that's me, struggling not to, LOL)
Go for it!

Around 70, your skin starts looking like crepe paper as you lose collagen.

That said, I could definitely see interpreting "I need a wrap" in many imaginative ways.

Oh there was definitely some sagging in there, some muted colors as the eyes degrade, etc. LoL. Speaking as a middle aged person, I can say the eye degradation is a real pain. Those damned crows feet creeping in, and the ever so slight start of the wrinkles on my hands as the elasticity starts to degrade... stupid feeble body.
