making a thing for the slate and other vehicles

basically a head unit with other functions using a raspberry pi 5 so a tv, a OBD-II reader, and everything for a gauge cluster

also backspace to get out of things, enter to well enter, arrow keys to navigate, youtube will launch on channel 83 so be warned is annoying, also apparently need to add a video in the tv section to view the channels, also the channel block is not working right now so the channels always play the first video file seems you add video files to the tv section and not the guide section.

Love the aesthetic. I actually saw a little 5" tube TV on craigslist recently and I immediately started thinking about how I could use that as my Slate nav screen.

hmm true XD and NES hmm that would be cool ill tri and add both if you have any other ideas im all years i have tell next april-june to iron stuff out then get my slate XD and most likely have to iron more stuff out but for the time being i hope to be able to use it in my f150 through the obd-2 port

This keeps getting better the more I dig. I just saw your TV implementation joins programming already in progress when you set up the schedule. So funny! Once upon a time I built one of these mini Simpson's TV sets witha Pi-Zero that did the same thing, just played Simpsons eps all day, every day. You would turn it on mid episode.

Do the same for music if you can, I'd definitely set up GTA-style programming channels with fake commercial blocks and everything. haha!

i was thinking of adding commercials i had seen someone do that and thought it was neet just gotta find the video

If anyone actually knows coding please help ai is good but God is it annoying personally if I had the money id pay someone XD also got it working on the pi except for the obd stuff and haven't tried the nav just get yet. the TV function is working but needs some tweeks. was testing the obd2 seems I was having flaky communication where it would read some times but not all the time.
