Kind of the same thing here in MT, only it's the tiny trailers with baby wheels prob rated at 25mph max screaming down the highway, jerking side to side trying to get free (who can blame them).

Makes my plans to hook to a 800# trailer and load with HD lumber for a 5 mile drive seem laughable in comparison. I could do that with my golf cart in Wisconsin apparently? 👍🏻

You could try getting an aluminum trailer, if you dont already.

If you keep the GCWR within range and watch the tongue weight I wouldn't hesitate to pull it for short trips to the lake.

highway towing wont be good, but in town at lower speeds it will probably be great.

If on the rare occasion I tow the jet ski it will only be a 20 minute tow to the lake and back. Pretty sure the 110 mile one way drive to the coast is a no go. I doubt it would make the one way pulling the ski 110 miles without needing a charge.
Or I could throw the generator in the back and have my own gas/electric set up. lol

Drive it. Hook up the generator while I fish. Have a full charge for the drive home. J/K.

The Grand Cherokee will suffice for the coastal runs.

I had a similar idea with my Lightning but quickly disabused myself of that idea after I researched the generator specs needed to make it a backup!

After reading what the generator would have to put out to get any kind of relevant charge you’re right. That in no way shape or form is efficient nor worth the time. My generator might add 2 to 4 miles of range per hour of charging.
That ain’t helping.
