Should have no destination charge if you are Trading in your old car or truck. They are coming anyway !

No way around not paying a destination charge. Have you not been paying attention?
Now some states will take your trade in value off the transaction total and you only pay taxes on the difference.
Such as total cost $29,000 your trade in is worth $9,000 you only pay taxes on $20,000 dollars.

With a $250 Doc Fee, that brings my OTD for a Blank Slate in NC (Wake County) to $27,861.
And $33,011 for a Blank Squareback.
Sounds about right. Let's see if I can do it for Raleigh. We're close. There's a lot of moving targets with all these fees.

MSRP+Dest: 26400.00
HUT (3%): 792.00
County tax (.005171): 136.51
City tax (.00355): 93.72
City Vfee: 30.00
EV surcharge: 214.50
Title: 66.75
Registration: 46.25
Wake registration: 7.00
Wake transportation: 10.00
Estimated Doc fee: 250.00

Total: 28046.73

Minus pre-order -300.00

Welp, this is going to be a fun thing I do 1,000 times a day with my three builds! 😅 But also makes my goal of being able to afford a Crayola Razzmatazz (with a built in speaker) so I can live my Carol Channing life and roll down by beloved crank window and yell, ‘Rasssssspberrrrries!’ to unsuspecting drivers that most likely will never understand the pop culture reference all the more achievable!

I’m going to need an AI agent to perform some regression analyses for my 9 builds….output as a .csv, bc that’s how I roll.

One reason they aren't getting into taxes yet is every state is different, and even within the state there may be different county and even city taxes and fees.
Then probably half of locations will change something by 2027

They should have a fill in the blank for taxes like the down payment does. You can call the DMV or County clerk and tell them the price before taxes and they can give you a pretty close figure on taxes and registration fees. I have done that before.

They may also have a web page where you put in the details and it gives you a breakdown of all the fees. California has this. Bot expecting Slate to do this at this point would be a bit much.

I just went through the Slate.auto mobile site Build and Price (but not signed in). There was no link to any payment calculator. Nothing on the mobile site even pointed to such a tool.
