So, this was weird. Played with the new estimator. Sort of says the $24,950 price doesn't include wheels and tires? 🤣

the *Asterix* on the $24,950 price is a bit unnerving...

The payment calculator doesn't include installation of items (if chosen instead of DIY)before delivery correct? If you want the wraps done by them/ their partners before its delivered when do those line items get added? I'm assuming the price of other items such as the SUV kit etc is inclusive of installation if selected to be bought before initial delivery? Just trying to clarify how the final price is calculated without any surprises. I think I've watched most of the videos and reviews and this was unclear to me.

Does not include any installation costs, doc fees, taxes, title, etc. It's just the Truck's price plus selected accessories (if they're priced), destination, minus declared down payment, trade-in, and preorder deposit.

Far less than what is actually going to be part of the buying/finance decision.

It depends on their pricing strategy. I heard the SUV kit includes the installation fee but I'm not entirely certain. I know wraps have a stated install fee, and I've heard that most other accessories will also have an install fee if you aren't DIY-ing it.

I'd send a message over to Slate directly and ask about the big-ticket accessories, or double-check the fine print for each piece.

They may also have a web page where you put in the details and it gives you a breakdown of all the fees. California has this. Bot expecting Slate to do this at this point would be a bit much.

My DMV web page in Oregon wants a VIN to estimate...wish I liked surprises...

According to Jeremy Snyder, factory SUV conversion is supposed to be the "best value" if you want an SUV.

Be aware that apparently if you do it that way you trade away ability to convert your SUV back to a pickup unless you order a kit of parts that are required to change it back.

Yes, I understand that the wrap would cost an extra like $500 starting point to have it wrapped before delivery and that's very reasonable and how I would order mine. I DO think that having a line item for any relevant labor/ installation costs in addition would be good to have full disclosure on before getting too serious about making the commitment. I haven't seen it buy I could be missing something.
